London will be hosting for the first time the FACEIT CSGO Major with the organisers who are also the sponsors of the event. Many Counter-Strike fans will be in attendance watching all the action at the Twickenham Stadium between the 5th until the 16th September 2018. The FACEIT League Playoffs will take place at the SSE Arena Wembley Arena between the 20th till 23rd September. The gaming festival will gather the best CS teams from around the world, competing for their chance to win a share from the prize pool of a staggering $1 million.

The FACEIT CSGO format will start with the New Challengers Stage with sixteen teams fighting for their spot in the next set of games. The winning eight units will proceed to the New Legends matches, while the remaining will automatically be out of the event. The top eight teams will need to prove their worth in New Legendary stage for their chance to participate in the New Champions Stage, while those squads that lose the majority of rounds will be out of the match. The crème de la crème of CS squads will advance to the New Champions Stage with a chance for two units to reach the grand finals to win the first prize of $500K. The first fourteen teams that rank at the FACEIT League will then qualify for their spot in next year’s Counter-Strike match held in February, the IEM Katowice 2019.
Going into the FACEIT CSGO Major, the eight legendary squads earned their invitation through the Eleague Major Boston 2018. The teams that will take part include Cloud9, MIBR, Winstrike, G2, Fnatic as well as the other favourites in this group.
Natus Vincere
At the moment, the Born to Win team is the second Counter-Strike team in the world according to HLTV.org. The Ukrainian squad, NaVi has recently won the title of ESL One Cologne 2018 and the CSGO Asia Championships. Going into the FACEIT League, CS bets will be on Natus Vincere for they are one of the favourites to win.
Faze Clan
The European squad, FaZe is currently ranking in the top ten CSGO units in the world. Their latest great win was at ESL One Belo Horizonte 2018, defeating the German squad, Mousesports with a score of 3-2. With Olofmeister back in action, Faze Clan hope to win more matches at FACEIT Major London.
Mousesports
The professional German team, Mouz ranks in fifth among the best in the world according to HLTV.org. At DreamHack Masters Stockholm, Mousesports managed to reach the Semi-finals while at ESL One Belo Horizonte 2018 they came close to winning but finished in second place. These results show that Mouz has the potential to succeed with some unpredictability on their side.

BIG
The German team have played their best in the past few months, ranking sixth among the top Counter-Strike units in the world. Although they are a squad that did not win any Championship titles recently, BIG still manage to place in the high four places in events. North
