Another tournament is fast approaching, the Eleague CSGO Premier 2018 event held in Atlanta. The premier tournament will begin on the 21st July until 29th July 2018 held at the G-Fuel Eleague Arena. Featuring the top 8 esports teams who will fight until death in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for a prize pool of a whopping $1 million.
Eleague is an esports premier tournament that was launched in May 2016, featuring the best CS: GO teams that compete in two leagues annually. The past year, the organisers have broadened their horizons to integrate Street Fighter V, Injustice 2 and Rocket League in their calendar of events.
At Eleague CSGO Premier 2017, the Semi-finals saw top teams Astralis beat Cloud9 2-1 and Faze Clan defeated North with an unbeatable 2-0 record. The best two CSGO teams, Faze Clan outplayed the star players to win the match 2-0 to claim the Eleague CSGO Premier 2017 title.
This year’s Eleague Premier 2018 will kick off with the group stage between the 21 till 25 July, where eight professional squads will play in a double elimination. The best four units will progress to the Semi-finals which will take place on Saturday 28 July. The remaining two Counter-Strike teams will face off each other in the grand final on the 29th July.

Astralis
The Danish star players are well known to be the most consistent, ranking first as the best CSGO team in the world. Astralis have finished in second place in last year’s Eleague CSGO Premier 2017 as well as the BLAST Pro Series: Copenhagen 2017. The Danes have won three Premier tournaments so far in 2018, DreamHack Masters Marseille 2018, ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals and Esports Championship Series Season 5 Finals. Over the past few months, Astralis have beaten the likes of Navi, Virtus. Pro and Team Liquid, will they keep up their winning streak in this match?
Cloud9
The North American players on Cloud9 have won the highest prize yet of $500K at the Eleague Major Boston 2018 back in January 2018. This team have been through a few roster changes with Stewie2k who left to join MiBR, Shroud retires from active duty, and FNS leaves the lineup. Will Cloud9 find their fifth player in time to practice and prepare for the upcoming matches?
Faze Clan
The European players were ranked the first, have now dropped to a second-best squad in the world. Faze Clan remain the fan favourites, although Olofmeister is not ready to be on active duty due to personal reasons, cromen has stepped in for the team. With his help, Faze Clan have recently won ESL One Belo Horizonte 2018. Their strong fighting tactics have paid off winning IEM Sydney and finishing in second place at IEM Katowice and Eleague Boston 2018. Over the course of the first half of 2018, Faze has beaten the likes of Mousesports and Astralis.
NaVi
The Ukrainian team are born to win, in fact, Natus Vincere rank in third place in the CSGO leaderboards according to HLTV.org. They are known for their fighting tactics to carry their team to win, entertaining the audience. Their In-game leader, Zeus makes the Navi team stronger than ever to make their mark at the Eleague Premier 2018.
Team Liquid
The North American CSGO Team Liquid have acquired a few accomplishments finishing in second place at the ECS Season 5 Finals and ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals. Their great significant wins were at CS Summit 2 and the Americas Minor Championship in Boston 2018. The Liquid lineup has been through some changes that saw Stanislaw leave for Optic Gaming; Steel went to join Luminosity, and jdm64 contract with TL ended on the 10 June. Team Liquid has acquired the Canadian player NAF and the former SK gamer TACO, to help the unit achieve more hopefully at Eleague CSGO Premier 2018.
MIBR
The Brazilian team of former SK Gaming players are still known to be one of the top ten CSGO squads. Over the years, SK has grown to be one of the dangerous competitors. Playing under a new name, and new acquisition of player Stewie2k, the CSGO team hope that they can return to their former glory, but what awaits at Eleague, you have yet to find out.
Fnatic
The Swedish Counter-Strike players representing Fnatic have recently won two premier esports events, World Electronic Sports Games 2017 and IEM Katowice 2018. The unit has made a few changes in the lineup signing on Xizt and Draken while Lekr0 left to join Ninjas in Pyjamas and Golden goes inactive. Does Fnatic have what it takes to prove their worth to win the Eleague CSGO Premier 2018?

The European CS unit, Mousesports is currently the 4th best Counter-Strike squad in the world. Their great latest achievements for Mouz was winning ESL Pro League Season 7, V4 Future Sports Festival Budapest and StarLadder & i-League Starseries Season 4.
