Jonas ‘Lekr0’ Olofsson

Jonas ‘Lekr0’ Olofsson is a talented Swedish pro gamer who competes in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for Fnatic. His motivational drive to improve was by playing with a better team performing his best in CS tournaments.

Before becoming a full-time CS player, Jonas was studying Computer and Nature Science while also working a part-time job. He got to know how big CS was going to turn out to be and decided to pursue a future career in esports gaming.

Where it all began:

Jonas’ interest in video games all started at a very young age, watching his older brother play Counter-Strike. He used to watch the Major tournaments, becoming a fan of Fnatic and Ninjas in Pyjamas, motivating him to be a better player so that he will be a part of the best esports team in future.

Olofsson pursued his professional gaming career competing in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, joining Team Decerto in 2015. He has acquired the talent and skills playing along with top units like Team Ancient and then he was spotted by Pronax who encouraged him to play for Godsent. However his debut kicked off eventually when he moved on to play for Fnatic Academy.

The Team:

Fnatic is an esports association that was founded by Sam and Anne Mathews in 2004 which is based in the United Kingdom. The team have expanded to support different units that compete in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, FIFA, Heroes of the Storm, League of Legends, Vainglory and Rocket League.

Fnatic CS team was originally created in 2004 starting to compete in Counter-Strike Source, where the unit won the Esports team of the Year Award in 2006 and 2009. Eventually in 2012, the squad switched to playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive to the present day, winning esports tournaments like the Eleague Season 1 and IEM X – World Championship with a total of earnings that reach a total staggering $2,969,925. Carrying on the Fnatic Legacy are professional players forming the current roster, Krimz, JW, flusha, their team leader, Golden, Lekr0 while Jumpy is currently acting as their coach.

Competition Participation:

The latest esports tournaments that Lekr0 and his current team Fnatic have participated include Esports Chamionship Series Season 4, ESL Pro League Season 6 – Europe, DreamHack Masters Malmo. He has also taken part in the qualifying matches, WESG 2017 Sweden, IEM XII Oakland and EPICENTER 2017.

Lekr0 acquired his gaming experience competing against some of the top CS units like Godsent, NV, Heroic, Outlaws, Space Soldiers, BIG and Ninjas in Pyjamas, improving his skills as a player.

Winnings:

The greatest win so far for Lekr0 was while playing for Fnatic at the Eleague CS: GO Premier 2017. The CS squad lost to Astralis but finished in sixth place to outrank top teams Natus Vincere, IMT, NiP, SK, Renegades, Mousesports and Virtus.Pro. Fnatic proudly claimed a total prize of $35 at the premier CS event held in October.

The second accomplishment for Olofsson was at the Europe Minor Championship – Atlanta 2017 competing for Godsent at the time. The squad won over Hellraisers, taking the Major title with the score 2-1, taking home a reward amounting to a stunning $30K.
