Joakim ‘disco doplan’ Gidetun is a 22-year-old pro gamer who hails from Sweden. He trains in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, taking on the rifler position, having the ability to play entry fragger when the need arises for his unit, Godsent.
Apart from CSGO, Gidetun likes to play video games such as Aim Hero and Call of Duty: WWII. As for tv shows, Disco Doplan watches the tv reality show Gamerz, which very much relates to his lifestyle. The most recent coolest thing Joakim has ever done was skydiving, even though he admitted it was hard to breathe while falling from the sky.
Where it all began:
Joakim used to watch professional players compete in esports matches and aspired that one day he too will become a cyber-athlete. He began playing seriously Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, when he joined his first esports team, Aftermatch. Eventually, he continued on his gaming journey playing alongside teams like Cringe Gods, Epsilon Esports, and Fnatic.
Godsent is a European esports organization founded by former FNC captain, Markus ‘pronax’ Wallsten and entrepreneur Tomas Oropesa Martin. Their goal was to place in the top 20 CSGO leaderboards in 2017. Not only did they achieve their mission but are still among the top 30 in 2018.
Godsent created their CSGO team back in April 2016 with a goal to be a top esports team. The current roster consists of pro players, twist, disco doplan, freddieb, hampus and Brollan who together will bring triumph playing the best they can.
The most recent esports tournaments that Godsent Disco Doplan participated include the qualifiers of ECS Season 5, Farmskins Championship, StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 4, Loot.Bet Cup. As for Major matches, Godsent have taken part in the PLay2Live Cryptomasters, WESG 2017 Europe Finals, Esports Championship Series Season 4 and ESL Pro League Season 6 among many others.
Godsent Disco Doplan has had the pleasure of going head to head against top teams like Natus Vincere, Space Soldiers, BIG, AVANGAR, Heroic, Valiance, AGO Gaming and Binary Dragons. These teams have helped Godsent improve on their in-game strategies to play even better in future to taking their game levels to new heights.
The great win for Disco Doplan was at the Eleague Major Atlanta 2017 representing Fnatic. The CS squad beat the likes of top teams like North, Mousesports, and NV, advancing to the Quarterfinals defeating Gambit Esports. In the Semifinals, FNC lost to Astralis, taking home a prize of $70K.
The second great accomplishment was while disco doplan was competing for Epsilon Esports at Pro Gamer League 2016 – Summer. On their way to the finals, Epsilon defeated TyLoo, Born of Fire and EFuture, VG.Cyberzen. The final match, the CSGO squad won over Team X with a winning score of 3-0.
The third accomplishment for Disco Doplan with Fnatic was at the Eleague Season 2. Trying to make it past the Group Stages, Fnatic lost to top esports team Optic Gaming, to finish in 12th place claiming their reward of $30K.
