Patrik ‘f0rest’ Lindberg

Patrik ‘f0rest’ Lindberg is a Swedish professional gamer playing for Ninjas in Pyjamas. He is known as the suave master of Counter-Strike with the ability to handle any position for the team, from rifles to awps to holding a bomb site.

F0rest is the humourous one of the team with a habit of spilling drinks on his keyboard. In his free time, he loves watching the TV show Stranger Things and the latest film he watched was Deadpool.

Where it all began:

Patrik always had a passion for gaming ever since he was young. His interest in video games all started with Counter-Strike 1.6 through his friend’s father who also played CS. When he was 15 years old, Lindberg practiced and trained with small teams like Seadogs, d00m and Virtual Experience Online, where his gaming potential was too hard not to notice.

Lindberg’s professional gaming career took off in early 2005, making his debut in the World Esports Games with the pro team, Begrip Gaming. F0rest and his team won the event defeating Catch Gamers to take home the prize of $50K. The victory was a sign for him to drop out of high school and concentrate more on Counter-Strike. That same year, Lindberg was nominated for the ‘Newcomer of the Year’ and ‘Best Counter-Strike Player’ for the esports Awards 2005.

The Team:

Ninjas in Pyjamas is a gaming organisation that was founded in Sweden back in the year 2000. The company is famous for their Counter-Strike team while also supporting another team that competes in League of Legends.


Ninjas in Pyjamas reformed their Counter-Strike unit upon the release of the esports game, CS: GO. The current NiP roster consists of Xizt as captain, f0rest, GeT_RiGhT, draken and REZ who will take their gaming skills to the next level, improving on their game strategies and fighting skills. NiP are very humorous during their warm up matches, their flexible crabwalking skills and military style communication attract the audience’s attention toward them.

Competition Participation:

The most recent esports competitions that f0rest has participated were the Esports Championship Series Season 3 – Europe, ESL Pro League Season 5 – Europe, cs_summit, DreamHack Masters – Las Vegas and many more esports competitions.


While f0rest was with NiP, he acquired the gaming experience beating top teams like SK Gaming, G2 Esports, Mousesports, Navi, Team Solomid, Team Acer, Titan, Virtus.Pro and Hellraisers. NiP have stepped up their game having lost to teams like Cloud 9, Astralis, Vega Squadron, Immortals, Luminosity, Fnatic and EnVyUs.


The highest achievements so far for Lindberg was at the StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 2 while playing for the Ninjas. The CS: GO squad won the premier match, winning against G2 Esports, claiming a prize of $130K. Better yet, personal best for f0rest, who was named the MVP of SL StarSeries Season 2 by

F0rest’s second great achievement was when he participated in the IEM XI Oakland. Ninjas in Pyjamas beat SK Gaming with the score 2:1, taking the first prize of $128K. On top of this, named Patrik, the MVP of Intel Extreme Masters Season XI Oakland 2016.
