Blast Pro Series Istanbul 2018

The first International host city for the Blast Pro Series CSGO event will be Istanbul, Turkey. The CSGO tournament will take place on the 28 till 29 September 2018 at the Ülker Sports Arena. Top six esports teams received direct invitations to compete for a prize pool of $250K.

Copenhagen 2017 was the first Blast Pro Series tournament that launched. SK Gaming defeated Astralis in the Grand Final winning a score of 2-1. SK had an advantage on Inferno and Cache, taking home the championship trophy and a reward of $125K.

Around ten thousand Counter-Strike fans are expected to attend the Ülker Sports Arena to witness a gaming show, unlike any other esports event. You can watch live online streaming of the Blast Pro Series Istanbul while placing your CSGO bets. With the intention to break viewership records, cinemas across Europe and the Flow TV Station will broadcast live the Counter-Strike tournament with an audience of approximately over 200 million across 100 countries around the world.

Istanbul will be hosting one of the shortest esports events that will span over two days. The Blast Pro Series Istanbul tournament format will start with Group Stage in best-of-1 matches, where each team will compete in five Counter-Strike: Global Offensive games. The top two squads in the standings will progress to the Grand Final in a best-of-3 match. All eyes will be on the best esports teams to battle it out on game day, entertaining the spectator audience.

The esports event will also feature a bonus match, the Blast Pro Standoff. A chance for the third runner-up team to choose their worthy opponents. Whoever triumphs in the Pro Standoff will win an extra $20K on top of their winning cash reward.

Six Esports Teams Competing at Blast Pro Series Istanbul.

Space Soldiers

The Turkish Space Soldiers have recently won a significant tournament, DreamHack Open Austin 2018. They managed to reach the finals beating Rogue with an incredible score of 2-1. Better yet, their most significant accomplishment so far is the World Electronic Sports Games 2017. Space Soldiers came in second after losing to Fnatic but took home their highest prize yet of $300K. Competing as the home team, Space Soldiers will have a majority of Turkish supporters, so perhaps the CSGO team will perform better than usual.

Ninjas in Pyjamas

The Swedish team players of Ninjas in Pyjamas have taken part in DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018, where they managed to reach the semi-finals but were defeated by Astralis to finish in third place. Another late accomplishment was at the Europe Minor Championship – London 2018, Ninjas in Pyjamas overcame Optic Gaming 2-0 in the finals taking home the first prize. Their performance has not been as consistent, and this makes the Counter-Strike team unpredictable, having the potential to win esports tournaments.

Virtus.Pro

The polish CSGO players competing for VP have had quite a season of highs and lows. The squad have lately participated at the FACEIT Major, ZOTAC Cup Masters, DreamHack Open Valencia and the Adrenaline Cyber League 2018. The recent successful match was at IEM Shanghai, losing to Tyloo in the semi-finals, they finished in fourth place. Another great achievement was at the CSGO Asia Championships 2018, reaching the grand finals, VP finished in second place losing to Natus Vincere.

Cloud 9

The start of 2018 was a great Cloud 9 win over Faze Clan at the Eleague Major Boston 2018. With a few second-place finishes in WESG 2017 North American Finals, CS Summit 2 and the Esports Championship Series Season 5 – North America. They have recently taken part in other esports events such as FACEIT Major in London, Eleague CSGO Premier 2018, ESL One Cologne and the IEM Sydney and DreamHack Masters Marseille among many other tournaments.

MIBR

The North American Counter-Strike squad, Made in Brazil are ranking in the top ten CSGO teams in the world. Their most significant achievement has to be the ZOTAC Cup Masters 2018, outplaying Kinguin in the finals with a 3-0 record. MIBR have competed in the FACEIT Major London, where they were eliminated by Natus Vincere, ranking third place in the competition. They have the drive to succeed if they set their mind towards a goal yet when is still unknown.

Astralis

The champions of the FACEIT Major 2018, Astralis is the leading CSGO team in the world, ranking in first place. They participated in esports tournaments like IEM Sydney, ESL One Cologne and DH Masters Stockholm, keeping up their consistency, in the top four. Add to this, Astralis hold the esports titles of DreamHack Masters Marseille, ECS Season 5 finals, Eleague CSGO Premier 2018 among other competitions.
