Where it all began:

Frederik was eight when he developed an interest in gaming, begging his father to buy the Counter-Strike video game. He used to watch his esports tournaments following his favourite player, HeatoN, an iconic CS 1.6 player, who inspired him to be a competitive gamer.

He began professional career in June 2015 as a substitute player for small squads like Rebel, A La Mix and Cringe Gods. His skills shone through at the events he participated and got a serious offer with Epsilon Esports.

The Team:

Ninjas in Pyjamas is a Swedish esports company, which was originally founded in 2000. Having started out with a Counter-Strike team, one of the star players back then Emil ‘HeatoN’ Christiansen became the organization’s Managing Director in 2012, helping to reform the NiP gaming company. Today, the association supports two professional teams in League of Legends and CS: GO, for which they are renowned.

NiP CS: GO was created in September 2012, competing in their very first esports tournament DreamHack Valencia 2012. The company has supported its CS team since then making the necessary roster changes through the years. The current lineup consists of Xizt as the team captain, f0rest, GeT_RiGhT, draken and REZ that will take their CS skills to new heights with the aim of winning matches.

Competition Participation:

Sterner joined Ninjas in Pyjamas in June 2017, where he has participated in two tournaments from the recent DH Valencia and ESL One Cologne 2017. REZ and his team were defeated against Cloud 9, at the Electronic Sports League in Cologne, ranking in the 5th to 8th place, claiming their prize of $10K.

Copenhagen esports games

He has also played for Epsilon Esports, where he participated in the Copenhagen Games 2017, DreamHack Tours qualifiers, SL i-League StarSeries Season 3 – Europe, ECS Season 3 and many more esports events.

Having been on a top team like Epsilon, REZ has acquired the gaming experience and skills against top teams like BIG, Godsent, Space Soldiers, Fnatic, Penta Sports, Vega Squadron, Mousesports among many other squads.

The great achievement for the professional player, REZ was while playing for Epsilon Esports competing in the Finals at the World Cyber Arena 2016. Finishing in first place, they took the championship title beating Vici Gaming with the unbeatable score 3:0, taking home a reward of a breath-taking $86K.

The most recent esports tournament win was with Ninjas in Pyjamas at the DreamHack Valencia 2017. The NiP team beat RED Reserve with the record of 2:0, taking home a prize of $50K, their highest reward since Eleague Season 2.
