DreamHack Marseille Betting Tips & What To Expect

Here are some betting tips and considerations for this event:

G2 Esports is in full reconstruction

G2 Esports has recently lost shox and SmithZz and brought in mixwell and NiaK. At the moment, the team is trying to redefine itself and integrate 2 new people that have to either change its gameplay (especially NiaK, who is the new coach) or adapt to what the core of G2 is already doing. For a while, I think it’s fair to say that G2 Esports will experience a period of inconsistency and mixed results. That’s because you cannot reinvent yourself and have a sound strategic system overnight, after making important roster changes. There’s also a chance that the new members of the team aren’t as good as the ones that got replaced, so we’ll see what’s going to happen. Meanwhile, consider betting against G2 but not on it, because they’re a risky team to put your money on at this point.

SK Gaming is in shambles

The team that dominated the CS:GO professional scene for such a long time is now a shadow of its former self. SK Gaming’s recent string of failures lead to an inevitable roster change. TACO left the team and at the time of this writing, it’s not yet clear who will replace him. One thing is certain though: the days of SK Gaming’s dominance are over, and it will be a while until we see this once formidable team get back to its A game.

Right now, you should definitely bet against SK Gaming whenever it faces a strong opponent with a solid and consistent system of play.

Strong underrated teams

These are teams that people tend to regard as outsiders with no chance of winning at this level, but who are actually extremely good. Space Soldiers is an example of such a team and its recent 2nd place finish at World Electronic Sports Games clearly proves that. So keep an eye on these guys and don’t miss the opportunity to bet on them.

DreamHack Masters Marseille 2018 Top contenders

Going into DreamHack Masters Marseille 2018, there are several teams which will almost surely get a top 4 finish. These teams are Fnatic, FaZe Clan, mousesports and either Na’Vi or Team Liquid. Until they start facing each other, these participants are likely to crush all opposition. It’s hard to say which of them is the favorite for winning the whole event, but I suspect that either Fnatic or FaZe Clan will be the champion.

These are teams that you should definitely bet against, especially when their opponent is one of the top contenders. Examples of such teams are the following: Valiance, TyLoo, Gambit Esports, and Team EnVyUs.
