Hunter ‘SicK’ Mims

Hunter ‘SicK’ Mims is a 19-year-old American esports player training in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, representing the CS team, Misfits. He takes on the responsibility of a rifler playing along with the game strategy that will help them win the CS game. You may not have heard about MIsfits SicK but he sure can show his gaming experience and learn from his mistakes, making a name for himself in the gaming world.

Hunter likes travelling to different countries getting to know the place, seeing the sights with his team mates. If Misfits happen to do well in gaming events, you will surely find them celebrating with a dinner and a party afterwards. In his spare time Mims likes work out and on occasion watch the NBA team, MiamiHeat in basketball matches.

Where it all began:

Hunter began his esports career in January 2015 practicing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with the gaming team, ignite. His very first tournament was the minor RGN Intercontinental Open North America. However, his gaming profession took flight when he joined Team Solomid in 2016 where he spent a year and then he moved on to play for Misfits.

The Team:

Misfits is a European esports team that was established in 2016, founded by Ben Spoont and SYFY founders Mitch Rubenstein and Laurie Silvers. Due to the popularity of esports, the gaming company grew to support squads that compete in League of Legends, Overwatch, Super Smash Bros, CS: GO and Hearthstone.

Misfits created their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster signing on the former Team Solomid players in January 2017. TSM have played in quite a number of esports tournaments raking up a total amount of $81,550 in winnings. Continuing the Misfits name is the current CS: GO roster that consists of seangares as team captain, SicK, ShahZaM, AmaNEk and devoduvek.

Competition Participation:

The most recent esports tournaments that Sick and his current team Misfits have participated include premier matches, the ESL Pro League Season 6 – North America, iBUYPOWER Masters 2017, Americas Minor Championship – Boston 2018.

They have also taken part in the World Cyber Arena 2017, IEM Oakland, Eleague CS: GO Premier 2017, DreamHack Atlanta and DH Valencia among many other esports tournaments. Sick has competed against top teams like Optic, Liquid, Complexity, NRG, Renegades, Rise Nation, Hellraisers and NV.

Winnings:

The greatest win for SicK and his squad Solomid was at the premier CS: GO tournament, Esports Championship Series Season 1 finals. TSM lost to Luminosity to finish in third place, proudly claiming their highest prize of $80K.

Another accomplishment for Sick and Team Solomid was at the Eleague Season 1. The CS unit were defeated by Fnatic in the group stages however they earned their second great reward of $30K.

Hunter’s third achievement was the most recent tournament held last May, the ESL Pro League Season 5 – North America competing for Misfits. The squad managed to finish in tenth place winning a reward of $17K and in the process Misfits earned a spot in the ESL Pro League Season 6.
