Last year’s Eleague Major held in January 2017 saw the best CSGO teams battle against each other. The Semi-Finals saw Astralis beat Fnatic with a record of 2-0 and another match featured Virtus.Pro defeat SK Gaming with the result of 2-0. In the Final match, the Danish star players reigned over the Polish gamers with a score of 2-1, to claim the first prize of $500K.

Eleague and Valve have rebranded the different stages of the Eleague Major 2018 qualifiers. The top eight that were directly invited are known as the Current Legends, whilst sixteen New Challengers are divided into two groups Krakow’s Fallen and The Minor Champions. These squads will get to compete against each other in the group stages in order to proceed to the main event, Eleague Boston Major 2018.

The eight teams that failed to rank at PGL Major are known as the Krakow’s Fallen include Cloud9, Flipsid3 Tactics, G2 Esports, Natus Vincere, Mousesports, Sprout, Faze Clan and Vega Squadron.

As for the Minor Champions, eight professional teams qualified through four different regions. The Latest News on the Eleague Major 2018

100 Thieves, a new Brazilian CS: GO team was a participant in the major competition but due to immigration issues they will not be able to attend. With a majority of former Immortal players, HEN1, LUCAS1 and fnx that showed the esports scene that no matter what happens, the show must go on. The unit also acquired the pro gamers, kNgV- and bit to prove that the unit has the potential, skills and tactics to be on top.
