Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018

Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018 will be held between the 29th March until 7th April 2018, bringing all the legendary battles to Shanghai at the Oriental Sports Center. The best 16 esports teams will be competing for their share of a prize pool of a whopping $1 million and a total of 1,500 DPC points will be up for grabs for TI8. All dota fans like you will be cheering and witnessing the great competition of their favorite squads so that you could start dota 2 betting online.

The first event of the Dota 2 Championships in Asia was held in 2015 organized by Perfect World and Mars Media at the time. The thrilling part of this event was in the Winner Finals where Vici Gaming won over Evil Geniuses, who defeated Team Secret in the Loser’s Finals. EG proceeded to the Grand Finals facing VG once again, winning the tournament with an unbeatable score of 3-0.

DAC 2017

The next Dota 2 Asia Championship tournament was held in 2017. Top esports teams like Invictus Gaming defeated OG in the Grand Finals with an amazing record of 3-0. IG won the Grand Finals of the DAC 2017 in a best-of-5 match, taking home the first prize of an amazing $244K.

The Dota 2 Asia Championships tournament format will start off with the Group Stage that will take place on the 29 March until 3rd April. 16 of the best dota teams will play in a best-of-1 with two top squads that will advance to the Playoffs held on the 4th till 7th April.

The esports teams that will participate in the Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018 include Invictus Gaming, the SouthEast Asian qualified teams, Mineski and TNC Pro Team, Keen Gaming will represent the China region. Representing CIS is the dota team Effect, North American Qualifiers Optic Gaming, and South American team paiN Gaming. If one of these esports squads is your favorite, why not take a risk on dota 2 betting?

The top dota 2 teams that will also participate in the Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018 include;

LGD Gaming

At the moment, LGD Gaming is ranking in top dota teams in the world, ranking in the 9th place. The latest roster changes saw Sea mew leave to join CDEC Gaming and Yao left to form part of LGD.Forever Young. Meanwhile, xNova was acquired by LGD Gaming and Ame returned to the active dota 2 roster. In general, the dota 2 team performs well in qualifying matches. However, the only major esports tournament that they attended recently was the StarLadder i-League Invitational Season 4, where they managed to reach the finals only to lose against TL to come to a close second place. LGD has the potential to surprise but do they have what it takes to win more esports tournaments.?

OG

The European qualified esports team, OG is ranking in 8th place of top dota 2 teams in the world at the moment. This squad has been on a winning streak in most of the qualifying matches like the EPICENTER XL, DreamLeague Season 9 Europe, Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018 and The Bucharest Major Europe. However, in the latest premier tournament, ESL One Katowice 2018, OG lost to Team Liquid in the Loser’s Round 3, which placed them in 7th place. They have the drive to be a better esports team but they need to train harder to be on top.

Vici Gaming

VG is currently the 7th top dota team in the world, starting 2018 at the Captains Draft 4.0, where they came to a close second place losing to Team Secret in the grand finals. Another great win for Vici Gaming was at the ESL One Katowice 2018, reaching the finals once again, losing to Virtus.Pro. In the next premier esports event, The Bucharest Major saw Vici lose to Team Liquid to rank in 12th place. The Chinese players are playing at home so most likely they will train harder to be where they want to be with the support of their Chinese dota fans.

Evil Geniuses

EG’s latest dota 2 performance at ESL One Katowice 2018 proved not to be one of the best matches, in fact, Evil Geniuses lost to Virtus.Pro to finish in sixth place. Ever since they participated in the Galaxy Battles II: Emerging Worlds, Evil Geniuses have ranked in the top four of esports tournaments like Epicenter XL: North America qualifiers and ESL One Genting. These results have ranked Evil Geniuses the 6th top dota 2 team in the world.

Team Secret

The latest esports tournament that Team Secret have participated in was the ESL One Katowice 2018, where they managed to reach the quarterfinals but lost to Liquid to finish in 5th place. ESL One Genting 2018 proved to be better reaching the Semifinals only to lose against Newbee. Team Secret’s great win was at the start of 2018 at the Captains Draft 4.0, taking the major title, beating Vici Gaming with an unbeatable score 3-2 in the finals. These results so far have placed Team Secret in the top 5 of dota 2 squads, but how will they fare at the Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018?

VGJ.Thunder

Another Chinese team, VGJ.Thunder has topped the Dota 2 leaderboards as the 4th top squad in the world. Their latest addition was dota player, ddc who is on loan from LGD. Forever Young. At the most recent event, The Bucharest Major, the pro unit managed to reach the finals competing against Virtus.pro finishing in second place. However, at the ESL One Genting 2018, they were eliminated in the Loser finals defeated by Vici Gaming to finish in seventh place. In general, VGJ.Thunder does really well in the qualifier matches but also surprises the esports spectators win incredible game plays, whenever they want.

Newbee

A Chinese team like Newbee has the advantage of having the major support at esports events held in China like the DAC 2018. This unit is presently the third top dota team in the world, having won the ESL One Genting 2018, beating Team Liquid in the finals. At the StarLadder i-League Invitational Season 4, they managed to rank in good third placing. On the other hand, at ESL One Katowice 2018, the unit lost to Evil Geniuses in the Group Stages Losers round 3 to place in 8th place. The dota squad has the power to dominate prestigious esports tournaments so how do you think Newbee will fare at the Dota 2 Asia Championships?

Team Liquid

At the moment, TL is the second best dota team in the world having won The International 2017, taking home the world’s highest esports prize in the world. Team Liquid has recently won the StarLadder i-League Invitational Season 4. Reaching the finals, they beat LGD Gaming with an incredible score of 1-3, acquiring 150 DPC points. As well as ranked in third place at the ESL One Katowice defeating Fnatic to win the championship title.

Virtus.Pro

There is a reason why Virtus.Pro is the top dota team in esports for these are professional players that have gaming virtues. The PGL Bucharest Major saw the final of VGJ.Thunder against VP to win an unbeatable score of 0-3. A great win for VP was at ESL One Katowice winning a prize of $400K and also earned 750 DPC points, beating Vici Gaming in the finals. Do the professional dota 2 players have what it takes to win?
