Andrey ”B1ad3″ Gorodenskiy

Andrey ‘B1ad3’ Gorodenskiy is a 31-year-old cyber athlete from Ukraine. He trains in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for his team Flipsid3 Tactics as the in-game leader. He developed his CS skills playing for fun while also watching prestigious esports tournaments and has been competitively playing for the past decade 16 years.

Where it all began:

Counter Strike 1.6 esports

Andrei started playing video game Counter-Strike 1.6 in 2003, practicing and improving his fighting skills with a goal to be one of the top players in his country. B1ad3 started his gaming career with KerchNET in August 2012 and moved on to play for esports teams like Courage-Gaming, Hashtag and dAT Team. His gaming experience has played an important role so that he can teach and motivate the other pro players in his team so as to improve for a sense of accomplishment.

The Team:

Flipsid3 Tactics is an American esports association that was launched in 2013. The squad supports a South African Counter-Strike Team as well as a US team who represent Flipsid3 Tactics Academy. They also have units that practice in Crossfire, Rainbow Six and Rocket League.

The F3 CS: GO team based in Ukraine was created in September 2014, starting with the former highgrade roster. B1ad3 was signed on together with dAT team that were acquired by F3 in February 2015. Fast forward to 2017, Flipsid3 Tactics have a lineup of five professional players, b1ad3 as captain, WorldEdit, markeloff, waylander and seized.

Competition Participation:

Flipsid3 Tactics have participated in the qualifiers of DreamHack Winter 2017, ESEA Season 26: Premier Division, Starladder i-League Invitational #2 CIS Qualifier, DH Montreal 2017, Eleague CS: GO Premier 2017 and ESL One New York among many others. Flipsid3 Tactics have also taken part in the major, World Cyber Arena 2017 – Europe Main Stage and the premier event, PGL Major Krakow 2017.

B1ad3 competing for Flipsid3 has had the gaming experience going against top esports teams like BIG, Space Soldiers, Heroic, Penta Sports, Gambit Gaming, Immortals, Mousesports, Team Liquid, Navi  and Hellraisers.

Winnings:

The greatest win so far was the Dreamhack Open Leipzig 2017 while representing Flipsid3 Tactics. The unit defeated Team LDLC.com in the Semi-Finals, advancing to the grand finale. Flipsid3 won the Major tournament against BIG with the unbeatable record of 2-0, proudly claiming their highest reward yet of $50K.

The second highest prize was won by Gorodenskiy and his team, Flipsid3 at the Eleague Season 1. At this esports tournament, the squad managed to reach the Group Stage finals but unfortunately the CS squad were defeated by top unit, Renegades with a score 0-2. Despite the loss, F3 took home a reward of $40K.

Another accomplishment for B1ad3 and his team Flipsid3 Tactics CS: GO was at the ESL One Cologne 2016. At the Premier event, F3 played their best but lost against top CS team, SK Gaming with a score 0-2. Although they lost the match, they ranked sixth place winning a prize of $35K, earning them a spot in Eleague Major Atlanta 2017.
