Rustem ‘mou’ Telepov

Rustem ‘mou’ Telepov is a dedicated esports player that hails from Novosibirsk Oblast in Russia. He trains in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, taking on the role of an awper for Gambit, proving his ability to handle competition.

Telepov spends his free time with his girlfriend who supports him in his professional career since 2010. Rustem is into photography as can be seen on his Instagram, the wonderful shots. Mou loves to catch up on tv shows and read Bernard Weber books. Being a pro gamer, he travels a lot to different countries so as to compete at esports tournaments, and in his spare time relax by the beach or go hiking in the country.

Where it all began:

Mou was quite curious in school subjects like Geography, Physics, and Astronomy. Back in his younger days, he would visit Internet cafés in the locality and play video games with his friends.

Rustem began his professional career playing Counter-Strike 1.6 back in 2011, competing for units, k23, where he took part in a LAN tournament called OSPL CS Training. While also playing CS for NEXT, Mou was voted the 5th best awper of WCG 2011. Eventually, Telepov switched to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in 2015, becoming widely recognized for his awping skills while also carrying his team to win rounds playing for top CSGO teams, Exgaming, xgame.kz, Hellraisers and HS.GG.

The Team:

Gambit Esports is a European esports association that was established in January 2013, famous for their LOL presence. Gambit currently supports teams that compete in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, League of Legends and FIFA 17.

 

Gambit Esports created their CSGO roster back in January 2016, starting out with the former Hellraisers squad. The present CSGO lineup consists of professional esports players, Dosia, AdreN, Mou, Hobbit, the team captain and their latest addition of Seized who will begin on a trial basis.

Competition Participation:

Gambit Mou has recently participated include the European qualifier, IEM Katowice, Eleague Major Boston, WESG 2017, Dreamhack Winter 2017, IEM Oakland, World Cyber Arena 2017 and EPICENTER 2017.

 

Gambit Mou acquired the competitive gaming experience competing against top CSGO teams like Mouz, Fnatic, Cloud9, Heroic, Virtus.Pro, North, Ago Gaming, NV, Immortals, SK Gaming, BIG, Counter Logic Gaming among many other esports teams.

Winnings:

Mou won his highest prize while playing for Gambit Esports at the PGL Major Krakow 2017. On their way to the grand finals, Gambit beat top CSGO teams like Mouz, G2, Virtus.Pro in the Group Stages, defeated Fnatic in the quarterfinals as well as Astralis in the Semifinals. Gambit won over Immortals in the finals of the PGL Major in Krakow with an incredible score of 2-1 to win the CSGO Championship and claim their prize of a whopping $500K.

The second accomplishment for Telepov was at the ROG Masters 2017 while competing for Gambit Esports. In the Group Stages, the top CSGO team beat 5Power Club and Splyce, whilst in the Semifinals, they won over Vega Squadron. In the Grand Finals, Gambit Esports defeat Tyloo with an unbeatable record of 3-0, winning a reward of $117K.
