Kuro ‘KuroKy’ Takhasomi is a committed Dota 2 gamer from Berlin, Germany. He is currently the captain of Team Liquid who comes up with new in-game strategies. The 24-year-old top player provides the support for his unit with his favourite heroes Rubick, Visage and Io.

Where it all began:

Kuroky was four years old when he developed an interest in video games starting with Nintendo. Kuroky suffered a disability in his legs when he was younger, which made him decide to go into the world of computer gaming.

Over the years, video games had become a means of escape from his problems. Takhasomi grew to love gaming more than anything else and focused on becoming the best. KuroKy’s goal as a gamer is to win TI 7 event which he has fullfilled as an active professional player.

Competition Participation:

The talented Team Liquid have participated in events such as the European qualifying stage of The Boston Major as well as The Summit 6, on both occasions losing to Virtus.Pro.

Other premier esports tournaments Liquid took part in were The Summit 5, ESL One Frankfurt 2016, The Manila Major 2016, EPICENTER and many more matches. Kuroky and his unit have beaten some of the best teams in Dota, these include Escape Gaming, Newbee, Wings Gaming and Team OG.

Winnings:

The outstanding performance from Kuroky was with Team Secret, competing at The International 2015. Losing to Virtus.Pro, they finished in the eighth-place walking away with an astonishing $829K.

Kuro’s second impressive performance was with Natus Vincere at The International 2013, finishing second place but losing to Alliance, proudly taking home a reward of $632K.

KuroKy’s performance in Dota did not go unnoticed in fact he was awarded Best Carrier by GosuAwards 2008 and JoinDOTA 2014.
