Fatih ‘gob b’ Dayik is a 30-year-old professional player that hails from Frankfurt. He is famous as one of the best shot callers and individual players in CS 1.6, for his high intelligent moves and understanding of Counter-Strike. He takes on the role of the in-game leader and rifler, competing in CSGO, for his current esports team, BIG.
Aside from gaming, Fatih likes to work out to keep up an active lifestyle. He loves to spend time with his family and friends, catching up over dinner with a glass of wine. On top of this, travelling has become a part of his life, competing on the world stage. In his free time, he would go out with his teammates and do relaxing activities to cope with the pressure of esports tournaments.
Where it all began:
Fatih used to play soccer when he was young, instilling in him the skills, gaming tactics and discipline. Within a few years, he got to lead his team which gave him more motivation and competition to be a better player in-game.
Frankfurt is a special place where Dayik started his Counter-Strike career. He began playing CS 1.6 at an Internet cafe, going more often to practice and learn new skills. He pursued his gaming career professionally in 2006 when he joined the first esports team, GEELIFE. He made a name for himself in the esports scene back in 2007 where he attended ESWC with ID Gaming playing his best gameplay.
BIG is an abbreviation for Berlin International Gaming, a German esports organisation that was founded in January 2017 by former NRG players, Fatih ‘gob b’ Dayik, Nikola ‘LEGIJA’ Ninić and Johannes ‘tabseN’ Wodarz. The gaming company support professional teams that compete in CSGO and PUBG.
BIG CSGO was created in 2017 by Counter-Strike players who dreamt of forming a German team, after spending a year competing in North America for NRG. Today the Counter-Strike roster consists of gob b, tabsen and nex while the another two have yet to be announced at a later date.
The most recent esports tournaments that Dayik and his current esports team, BIG have participated include the qualifying matches of IEM Katowice 2018, Intel Extreme Masters Oakland and the EPICENTER. Some of the premier events that Big Dayik attended include the Eleague Major Boston 2018, DreamHack Winter 2017, WESG Europe finals, World Cyber Arena, DH Denver and Hellcase Cup.
Fatih’s highest earnings were when he competed for Mousesports in Counter-Strike 1.6 at the Intel Extreme Masters II. The squad took home the premier IEM title beating E-STRO in the finals with an unbeatable score 2-0, winning the first prize of an amazing $50K.
Another accomplishment for Gob b was the premier esports tournament, PGL Major Krakow 2017. Competing for BIG, they managed to go through the offline qualifying matches securing their spot in the CSGO major event. Gob b and his team BIG went through the group stages advancing to the Playoffs. The CS unit lost to Immortals to finish in seventh place, winning a prize of $35K.
