Timothy “autimatic” Ta

Timothy “autimatic” Ta is a North American competent CS: GO pro gamer for Cloud 9, taking on the role of a lurker. In the past years Timothy has played for teams like Complexity Gaming, Team Solomid, Lunatik Sports and Nihilium gaming among others.

Michael’s friend had suggested using the nickname automatic for the rifles used in the video games. For a more personal name he replaced the ‘o’ with an ‘i’ and that is how his alias came to be automatic.

Where it all began:

Timothy started his gaming passion in Counter-Strike Source where he developed the skills that would help him adjust to eventually take on CS:GO.

He started his gaming profession in 2014 where he competed in Counter-Strike:Global Offensive with his new team, SapphirekelownaDotCom. From there he moved on to other squads acquiring the skills and strategies to be a better player.

The Team:

Cloud 9 is an American esports organisation that has several teams that specialise in different games such as;

 

Cloud 9 CS:GO was founded by Jack Etienne after he attended the EMS One: Katowice 2014 to look out for new professional gamers. From the former Complexity gamers, Cloud 9 has gone through a few roster changes to hopefully bring the success to their squad. The current C9 squad consists of n0thing, shroud, Skadoodle, Stewie2k, Autimatic and lastly Valens as their coach.

Competition Participation:

Tim has only been in the esports spotlight for two years competing professionally in Eleague Season 1, ESEA Season 18 – Global Invite Division and DreamHack Bucharest 2016.

Cloud 9 has participated in several esports events competing against Renegades at the Qualifier match, StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3. At DreamHack Masters Las Vegas 2017, C9 finished in the eleventh place losing to NiP. In 2016, Cloud 9 has taken part in the Eleague Major qualifier, Americas Minor Championship, Dreamhack Winter 2016, IEM Masters Xi – Oakland and many more tournaments.

Winnings:

The most recent tournament Cloud 9 have won was the iBUYPOWER Invitational 2017. Autimatic and his unit took the Major title beating Optic Gaming with the amazing record of 2-0, taking home the first prize of $10K.

Their highest achievement so far was the Premier ESL Pro League Season 4. Cloud 9 reached the grand finals to take the title from SK Gaming to scoop a prize of $200K.
