On occasion, Patrick plays Super Mario on Nintendo 64 with his mum and his little brother who is also showing an interest in video games. In his free time, he also likes to watch motorcycle racing at the Vojens Speedway Center. He loves to travel around the world with his teammates, taking the opportunity to relax by the beach on those days when he is not gaming.

Where it all began:

Hansen developed a passion for video games, ever since he was young playing Super Mario with his school friends. He always dreamt that one day he would become a top player earning a living, playing his favourite video games all day, every day.

Eventually, he heard about Counter-Strike: Global Offensive through his friends and started practicing the game. He saw his own potential and began his competitive gaming career in 2015, playing for the esports team KappaKappa. He acquired more gaming knowledge and strategy joining Team Orbit, Heyguys, Escape Gaming and Tricked Esports.

The Team:

Heroic CSGO team5

Heroic is a Danish gaming association that was founded in August 2016, that was created by former SK Gaming players. The esports company supports one professional squad that practices and competes in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The CS lineup consists of pro players, niko, JUGi, es3tag, MODDII and Snappi, the team captain to continue doing what they love best, playing video games.

Competition Participation:

Es3tag and his Heroic team have participated in a number of recent major events such as Dreamhack Winter 2017, ECS Season 4, World Cyber Arena 2017 and StarLadder i-League Invitational and the ESL Pro League Season 6.

WCA 2017

Hansen has battled against some of the top squads in Counter-Strike in his competitive career with Heroic and Tricked Esports. Competing head to head with top CSGO teams like Mousesports, Natus Vincere, Hellraisers, Fragsters, EXtatus, Havu Gaming and Dignitas have helped es3tag improve on his mistakes and come up with better game strategies.

Winnings:

The highest earnings won by es3tag’s gaming career so far was the Premier tournament, Eleague CS: GO Premier 2017. He and his Heroic team competed against North, unfortunately they lost the quarterfinal match with a score 0-2. Finishing in eighth place, the Counter-Strike unit won the total sum of $35K.

The second great win for Hansen took place at the World Cyber Arena 2017 on the Europe Main Stage. The major tournament featured Heroic vs Gambit winning the finals with an unbeatable score of 2-1, taking the Championship title to claim their reward of $26K.
