Gabriel ‘Fallen’ Toledo is a dedicated cyber athlete from Sao Paulo, Brazil, known as the godfather of Brazilian CS:GO. His duty playing for SK Gaming is that of an AWPer and in game leader. Fallen is a role model for other pro players, in fact, he has been nominated as the best national sniper of the year, best national player and the most influential person of Brazilian sports.
Today, Fallen owns Gamers Academy with a commitment and passion to teach gamers. It started out with fifteen people and has grown to about 1,500 students. Gaming has given Toledo everything he wanted and has the intention create more gaming opportunities for new generations in Brazil.
When Toledo is not playing CS, he would watch one of the latest trending tv shows like Game of Thrones or dine with his girlfriend and perhaps play her a song on his guitar.
Where it all began:
When Gabriel was still at school, he would pop in to his parent’s computer shop where he came across the video games Doom and Starcraft. Once fallen tried them out, he set himself a routine to always find the time for his gaming hobby.
His older brothers, Thiago and Marcelo introduced Fallen to Counter-Strike 1.6 at the Soldier LAN house in 2003. His family supported Gabriel as he juggled between football, school, helping out at the computer store and gaming. What was once a pastime turned into a profession in 2009, when he joined Firegamers.
SK Gaming is a German esports company that was founded in 1997, starting out with a Quake team. Since then, the club has become one of the world’s most recognized brands in competitive gaming. The association has supports units that compete in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Hearthstone and Vainglory.
SK Gaming founded their CS: GO squad in October 2013. The roster changed a few times over the years and today is made up of professional Brazilian players, Fallen, fer, coldzera, Taco and felps that have raised gaming levels to new heights becoming the world’s top team in Counter-Strike.
The most recent esports tournaments that Fallen and his squad, SK Gaming have participated include Gamers Club Masters, PGL Major Kralow 2017, ECS Season 3 – Finals, DreamHack Summer, IEM Sydney, cs_summit, Eleague Major 2017 among many others. Toledo and SK Gaming have gained the competitive experience against top units like Astralis, Virtus.Pro, G2, Cloud 9 and NiP to help them improve on their mistakes.
SK’s impressive game plays and wins at prestigious esports events have made them the world’s top Counter-Strike team according to HLTV.org.
Fallen and his team SK Gaming won their highest prize at ESL One: Cologne 2016. His CS: GO squad beat Liquid with the amazing record 2-0, taking the championship title to claim their well-deserved reward of $500K.
Another competition Gabriel competed was at the MLG Major Championship: Colombus achieving great success while playing for Luminosity. The unit won over Natus Vincere with the score 2-0 claiming their prize of an overwhelming $500K with pride.
As an esports player, Fallen has been voted the second best CS player of 2016 by HLTV.org. Another personal achievement was being awarded the Esports personality of the year 2016 by Esports Industry Awards.
