Zeng ‘Ori’ Jiaoyang is an esports player that hails from China, who competes professionally in Dota 2 for Vici Gaming. His responsibility towards his team is that of training in the solo middle position performing his best with dota heroes, Tiny andDeath Prophet as well as his signature champions, Templar Assassin, Storm Spirit and Puck.
Being a professional gamer, travelling has become a part of his life, participating in esports tournaments that are held around the world. Aside from Dota 2, he likes to exercise most especially running on the treadmill, relaxing by the pool and celebrate with his team winning esports tournaments.
Where it all began:
When he was young he used to like playing sports at school, practising to be a better teammate. He would also go to a local Internet cafe to play computer games and meet other gamers like him and together they would watch prestigious esports matches, aspiring that one day he too could be a professional player.
His dream came true when he started his pro gaming career in September 2016 joining his first esports team, DUOBAO, to compete in Dota 2. He learnt everything he knows through his commitment to being better, coming up with new dota strategies with his current team, Vici Gaming.
Vici Gaming is a Chinese esports company that was founded in 2012 with its headquarters in Shanghai. The Gaming Association has expanded to support teams that compete in Dota 2, League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Overwatch and FIFA.
Vici Gaming Dota was created in October 2012 by Fengdidi, a former PanDarea Gaming player. Over the years, the dota 2 team have become famous for their performances. The current roster is made up of the best combination of pro players, Paparazi, Ori, eLeVeN, LaNm and Fenrir as the squad captain.
The most recent dota tournaments that Vici Ori has participated include the Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018, The Bucharest Major and ESL One Genting 2018. Their next esports event they will take part in will be ESL One Birmingham 2018 so as to help them acquire enough points for their journey towards The International 2018.
The China Qualifiers that Vici Dota team have also taken part were the EPICENTER XL, DreamLeague Season 9, GESC Indonesia Dota 2 Minor and the StarLadder i-League Invitational #4. Competing at such esports matches has given the Chinese dota squad experience into how to counter their opponents next time.
The highest win was at the recent ESL One Katowice 2018, playing for Vici Gaming. They started out the group stages beating OG, Team Liquid and Virtus.Pro that led them to the Semi-Finals, beating TL once again. Reaching the grand finals, Virtus Pro won over Vici Gaming to finish in second place to win $200K.
The second great accomplishment for Ori was at the Captains Draft 4.0. Vici Gaming managed to reach the finals against Team Secret who won the dota 2 league. Although the team lost, they finished in a close second place once again winning an amazing $69K.
