The biggest Dota 2 tournament of the year, The International 2018 is in full swing at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. Now is your opportunity to see the best teams and players that trained for the grand TI 8 tournament via the streaming channel, Twitch.

TI 8 prize pool

The annual event set a new record-breaking prize pool that has reached an astounding $24.8 million as of the 20th August. The first prize set at a whopping $10.9 million given the potential winners. With five more days left, the crowdfunding towards the total reward could rise a little more, surpassing the previous year that offered an astonishing $24.7 million.

Now that the Group Stages are over, two teams have stopped their TI 8 journey short. These are the Chinese qualifier, Invictus Gaming who have lately added as a new coach the Danish player, Misery. The South American qualified team, paiN Gaming acquired Chinese player turned coach – BurNing. Knowing that last minute roster changes will do no wonders, both units have added new coaches so this may be the reason why they were knocked out.

Upper Brackets Dota 2 teams

Last year’s champions, Team Liquid and Optic Gaming will open the Upper Bracket Round 1 later today, kicking off The International main event. Other top dota 2 teams that have qualified in the Upper Brackets include Evil Geniuses, PSG.LGD, OG, VGJ.Storm, Virtus.Pro and Team Secret.

Lower brackets Dota 2 teams

The Lower Brackets Round 1 will feature the hopeful dota 2 teams such as Fnatic, Team Serenity, TNC Predator, Mineski, Newbee, Winstrike, VGJ.Thunder and Vici Gaming. These units may have placed in the last four standings in the Group Stages A and B, but they can be hopeful if they win every game from now on. Team Liquid lost the Upper Brackets Round 1 and from then on dominated the Lower Brackets to reach the Finals where they took TI 7 title and claimed the Aegis trophy.

Road to the International with Dota pro circuit

Unlike the past years, the introduction of the Dota Pro Circuit was a success. A system where teams that won dota tournaments acquired points, helping them qualify and receive a direct Invitation to The International 2018. The loser teams had to go through Open and Main Qualifiers to gain their rightful spot for the dota 2 match.

Team Liquid dota 2 roster 2018

At The International 2018, the favourite dota squad to win is Team Liquid, the champions of TI7. On the other hand, the second place winners of The International 7 is Chinese team, Newbee who are also favourites but unfortunately they will have to play their best in each tournament to head towards to finals.

Ne4wbee dota roster 2018

The International Dota 2 match started out with 18 professional teams, two teams have been knocked out, and only sixteen remain. Looking at the results, it seems like VGJ.Storm will bring an outbreak of chaos upon their opponents, while the Chinese team, PSG.LGD is close behind with remarkable strategy and smart moves. Will Team Liquid claim the Aegis once again or the Geniuses of Evil? Who will win The International 8?
