Terry ‘Big’ Chuong is a dedicated cyber-athlete from Rosemead, California. He trains in League of Legends, playing the role of support for Team Dignitas with the LOL champions Malzahar and Nami. If he were not the supportive player, he would opt to be mid laner for his team.
To help relieve the stress that gaming creates, Terry plays Dota and World of Warcraft with his friends. One of Chuon’s favourite snacks is rice crackers for their crunchy taste while catching up with new anime series. Some of these include No Game No Life: Zero, the Japanese manga series – Shield Hero, American animations, Rick and Morty as well as Samurai Jack.
Where it all began:
Terry’s passion for video gaming began when he was 8 years old. He took up games like Starcraft and Maplestory and League of Legends. He would look up to the best LOL players participating in prestigious competitions which inspired him to be a pro gamer.
Big familiarized himself with League of Legends beta by playing soloqueue and picking the hero Heimerdinger. His competitive streak came out when his friend pestered him to play temporarily for a team, which he did performing his best LOL strategies. The very first LOL team that signed him on was Pulse Esports back in 2013. He developed his League of Legends smart moves with pro teams like Complexity, Wazabi Gaming, CLG, Frank Fang Gaming, Team Dragon Knights, Imagine, Echo Fox and Delta Fox.
Team Dignitas is a gaming company that was founded in September 2003, based in United Kingdom. The association began with two units that competed in Battlefield 1942. As the esports scene grew over the years, DIG formed new teams that play League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Heroes of the Storm, Smite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
Team Dignitas created a LOL roster back in September 2011 that signed on the former Rock Solid players. The players made a name for themselves under DIG to become one of the leading esports teams in North America. The current lineup consists of Ssumday, ShrimP, Keane, LOD, Altec, BIG and Adrian so together will carry their unit to win League of Legends tournaments.
Competition Participation and Winnings:
The most recent win for Big and Team Dignitas was their participation in NA LCS 2017 Summer league. The LOL unit reached the semi-finals to determine the best LOL team to rank third. Although DIG lost to Counter Logic Gaming with the record 0-3, the squad finished in fourth place to take home a prize of $20K.
The second great accomplishment for Big was with Apex Gaming where they competed at the NA Challenger Series Spring 2015. Winning the league, the group took the title and claimed their prize of $17K.
The LOL tournaments that Big participated in include the North American League of Legends Championship Summer Series 2017, NA Challenger Spring and Summer series of 2015 until 2017 and the Razer League of Legends Clash. He has acquired the competitive experience against the best LOL teams such as TL Academy, Cloud9 Tempest, LMQ and NRG Esports to become one of the best esports players.
