Cédric ‘RpK’ Guipouy

Cedric ‘Rpk’ Guipouy is also known as The Tank, a 27 year old French cyber athlete that plays Counter-Strike Global Offensive. He takes on the responsibility of rifler to help lead his team, EnVyUs to win esports matches.

 

Aside from esports, The Tank loves cars in fact when he took a break from pro gaming for almost two years, he worked with his father as a mechanic. He also follows BMW Motorsport and loves go karting at K1 Speed with his friends.

Where it all began:

Cedric started actively playing Counter-Strike: Source in 2007 with his very first pro unit, evidence and joined other units such as H2k Gaming, Nameless, Epilson Esports, Roccat and VeryGames until August 2012.

At some point, most CS Gamers like RPK made the switch to start playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and continued his competitive journey with VeryGames and other units like Titan and G2 Esports. Despite taking a break from CS:GO, his love for gaming never ceased to die and the fact that he can earn money playing video games, motivated him even more to comeback an even stronger player.

The Team:

EnVyUs is an American esports company that was established in 2007 by Mike ‘Hastro’ Rufail. They were originally known for their competitive background of the Call of Duty team. Through the teams success, the company has grown to financially support more squads that compete in CS:GO, Gears of War, Halo, League of Legends, Overwatch and Starcraft.

The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive squad was created in February 2015 made up of the former French players from the team, LDLC.com. NV has made a few recent roster changes these include maLek as coach and Devoduvek leaves to play for another unit, Misfits. The current CS roster consists of Happy as captain, the latest addition, ScreaM as well as Sixer from Millenium, Rpk and xms.

Competition Participation:

The most recent CS:GO tournaments that Rpk has taken part in include the premier match, ESL Pro League Season 5 – Finals, the EU qualifiers of the ESL One: Cologne 2017 and Europe Minor Championship 2017. Cedric played for NV in the DreamHack Tours 2017, cs_summit and in the Eleague Major 2017 with G2 among many other prestigious matches.

Rpk has had the gaming experience of competing against Team Liquid, Tricked Esports, G2, Optic Gaming, Hellraisers, North and Fnatic to help him step up his Counter-strike game plays with a goal to win rounds.

Winnings:

The greatest achievement so far for Rpk was while playing for G2 esports competing at the ECS Season 1 – Finals. The squad beat Luminosity Gaming with the record of 2:0, taking the premier championship title to win their highest earnings of an amazing $250K.

Another great win for Rpk was at the ESL Pro League Season 3 with G2 Esports. The CSGO team went through to the final round, only to lose to LG with the score 2:3, finishing in a close second place. Despite G2 losing, the squad was proud to have earned a surprising $90K.
