Top LOL Teams at Mid-Season Invitational 2019

Invictus Gaming LOL esportsonly.com

Invictus Gaming

Over the past year, Invictus Gaming has had quite a journey to be where they are today among the top five LOL teams in the world. Their great successes include NEST 2017, Rift Rivals 2018: LCK vs LPL vs LMS, The Premier 2018 World Championship, Demacia Cup Winter 2018. Their recent wins contributed to their fight for their place, confirming their spot at the Mid-Season Invitational 2019 defeating JD Gaming with an incredible score 3:1. What do the invincible Invictus gamers have in store for their opponents?

SK Telecom

Ever since the Korean team SKT established itself, the players have done well for themselves and gained the gaming experience through the years. However, last year SK Telecom took a turn for the worse; they did not meet the high expectations that their fans had in them. The squad seemed to have taken a step back on purpose perhaps to allow other teams to win. Maybe due to the roster changes through 2018, this affected their performance. Now that SKT has proved they are the best in their region at the LCK Spring, did they find the right combination of players for the Mid-Season Invitational 2019?

Team Liquid

Team Liquid have improved their rankings over the past two years making their presence felt in the qualifying matches of the NA LCS Spring and Summer tournaments in 2017. The following year, Liquid beat the likes of 100 thieves with an incredible win 3:1 at the NA LCS Spring 2018. Another great accomplishment worth noting was finishing second in the Rift Rivals 2018 NA vs EU, on top of this was the premier NA LCS Summer 2018 beating Cloud 9 with 3-0. Overall, their performance is not as consistent as fans hope. On the other hand, Liquid has proved otherwise showing they are the best in the LCS Spring 2019, acquiring their spot at MSI 2019.

G2 Esports

The best LOL team in the EU region have to be G2 Esports. Placing among the world’s top 20 teams, they have had quite a journey to be where they are today. Consistently performing in 2017 finishing in second at premier matches such as IEM Season XI in Katowice, the Mid Season Invitational 2017 and Rift Rivals: NA vs EU. G2 Esports has proven to be more successful the following year ranking among the top six rankings in tournaments. Their surprising wins in 2018 worth a mention are the Rift Rivals: NA vs EU and EU LCS Regional Finals 2018. This match proved their potential just before the 2018 Worlds Championship finishing in third place. Have G2 found the right chemistry in the team to have what it takes at the Mid-Season Invitational 2019?

INTZ Esports

INTZ Esports LOL

The Brazilian LOL team INTZ Esports established in 2014  and have proved their gaming worth in their region. However, did not make a presence on the International stage until 2016 at the IEM Season XI Katowice which was something big for them to secure a place at such an event. As months passed the team improved their gameplays in 2017 and 2018 winning the Superliga ABCDE Seasons, consecutively. This year INTZ Esports confirmed their place at the MSI 2019 after winning the CBLOL Summer 2019. Will they impress the lol community at this event?
