MLG Vegas

The Major League Gaming Corporation (MLG) is an esports company that is organising the MLG Vegas that will feature Overwatch and Call of Duty. The event will start from the 16th till 18th December that will be spread over the course of three days.   

MLG is owned by a video game publisher, Activision Blizzard or also known as Blizzard Entertainment the same company that created Overwatch. Eight esport teams have been invited to take part in the MLG Vegas, all fighting for a share in the prize pool of $100,000.

CLOUD 9

Last October, the team went through a few roster changes, adding Ruben ‘ryb’ Ljungdahl, Randal ‘Roolf’ Stark and Lucas ‘Mendokusaii’ Hakansson. The last match Cloud 9 attended was Carbon Masters November 2016, winning over Immortals, they won the first prize.

ENVYUS

Mid-way through the event OGN Apex match, Ronnie ‘Talespin’ Dupree leaves team Envyus. In the meantime, Mickie will be their temporary stand-in. Do you think they will live up to their expectations?  

FNATIC

Last October, iddqd left the Overwatch roster and replaced him with a temporary stand in Hafficool playing the flex role. Fnatic is known to be successful in nearly every match. Will this change affect the squad for the better or worse?  

FAZE CLAN

An American esport team that qualified for the MLG Vegas is Faze Clan. The six players specialising in Overwatch include zombs, TwoEasy, ShaDowBurn, Rawkus, FCTFCTN and Forsak3n.

COMPLEXITY

Having just started an Overwatch group in August 2016, Complexity Gaming has participated in several OW events where they won over renowned squads like Immortals, Faze Clan and Team Liquid.  

NRG 

The latest talented gamers added to NRG Esports roster were Clockwork and numlocked. They have taken part in several competitions such as the Overwatch Apex season 1, APAC Premier as well as the Overwatch Open.  

TEAM LIQUID

In the past tournaments, the squad had high hopes to rank better in each and every match. Team Liquid is led by Spartan, their captain who has a great personality and commitment to help lead and improve Overwatch strategy tips.

RISE NATION

Their Overwatch squad was previously known as Gecko OW. Over the course of the past few events, Rise Nation managed to beat Team Liquid, Velociraptor Gaming and Team Project.
