Riot Games is hosting an International LOL event in Brazil, the 2017 Mid-Season Invitational or better known as MSI. The organizers are known for the League of legends tournaments that have hosted matches in North America and China and this year will be held in Brazil, competing for a share from the prize pool of $1 million.
MSI is now in its third year running, inviting the best teams that won the esports spring tournaments in the different regions North America, Australia, CIS/Russia, Japan and SEA, Latin America, Europe, South Korea, China and many more.
The event started with thirteen professional teams on the 28April that competed in the Play-in Stage at the CBLoL Studio, Sao Paulo. The six winning teams will go through to Group Stage Round to acquire a spot through to the next round. The four best units move on to the Knockout Stage with the Semi-Finals that will eliminate two units. The Grand Final will be held on the 21st May, where the best two LOL squads will face off each other to win the MSI Championship 2017.

G2 Esports
The European team, G2 Esports have gone through a roster change that includes Expect, Trick, Perkz, Zven and Mithy. The aggressive playstyle has dominated in the EU LCS tournaments beating Unicorns of Love. At the moment, G2 Esports is Europe’s top team, but will they keep up their winning streak against other regions?
GIGABYTE Marines
The Vietnamese lol team have never lost a game, showing their potential and skills to be at the top. GIGABYTE Marines have lately taken part in the Garena Premier League (GPL) 2017 winning against Ascension Gaming. Having qualified as the Southeast Asian unit for the MSI 2017, they are a LOL squad to watch out for in this tournament.
SK Telecom T1
SKT T1 have become South Korea’s best team in the LoL scene. They have achieved first place in three World Championships in 2013, 2015 and 2016 and have continued to step up their game in 2017. SK Telecom T1 is made up of talented players but do they have what it takes to win another World Championship?
Flash Wolves
The Taiwanese team was founded in 2013 and have since become a top ranking LOL team in the LMS matches over the years. Flash Wolves are ready to take on the world’s best units and prove their great potential.
Team WE
The World Elite Chinese team formed their first LOL unit in March 2011 and have participated in many lol tournaments such as IEM Season IX Shenzhen, the LPL Spring and Summer Seasons, 2016 Demacia Cup and many others. They may not have qualified for the upcoming World Championship 2017 but they will try their best in the MSI 2017.
Team Solomid
TS secured their spot for the main event, Mid – Season Invitational 2017, winning against Gigabyte Marines. In the past tournaments, Solomid have won against top teams like Cloud 9 and World Elite will they go through to the Semi-Finals?
