ELeague Season 2

The organizers, Turner Sports and WME/IMG announced the eight esports teams to participate in the ELEAGUE Season 2 Playoffs. The first Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Season 1 Tournament took place between May until July 2016. Virtus Pro won ELEAGUE 1 with a first prize of $400K. Season 2 started on the 21st October 2016 where fifteen teams competed against each other to qualify for the Quarterfinals.

Eight squads still remain but only one esports team will win the game. Which squad do you think has what it takes to be the next ELEAGUE Season 2 champions?

TEAM DIGNITAS

Team Dignitas is known to be the best Danish CS:GO lineup. They have been through a few roster changes since July 2016, proving their capabilities in their CS:GO strategies. Dignitas have accomplished a few personal records of beating world famous teams like Fnatic and Envyus in the group stage of the event.

SK GAMING

A German esports company, created in 1997, has grown to become a successful CS squad over the years. Their SK Gaming roster was set in July 2016, consisting of Brazilian players, Fallen as the captain, fer, coldzera, fnx and TACO. They proceeded to the ELEAGUE quarterfinals beating Natus Vincere twice.

ASTRALIS

The first Danish team, Astralis are part owners of the company together with Frederik Byskov, their manager. Their newest captain joined on the 24th October helping them to progress in the ELEAGUE tournament, eliminating ALTERNATE aTTaX.

NINJAS IN PYJAMAS

The Swedish team, NiP announced the return of Pyth after recovering from a hand injury. Back in the game, Pyth playing with the Ninjas has resulted in a successful start to the ELEAGUE Season 2 Playoffs eliminating G2 Esports.

MOUSESPORTS

The European organisation, Mousesports is particularly known for CS:GO success, has beaten Immortals and Cloud 9 in the group stage. ChrisJ stepped up his game in the qualifying tournaments, with quite a strong CT-side, leaving his mark in every match.

OPTIC GAMING

An American esports company formed their Counter-Strike team on the 4th January 2016. Their unit of five players consist of NAF, RUSH, mixwell, Tarik, Stanislaw. Beating world known teams like EnVyUs and Fnatic, Optic Gaming have made their mark in the ELEAGUE season 2 Playoffs.

VIRTUS.PRO

A Russian group of Virtus.Pro players participated in the ELEAGUE season 1, where they were crowned the champions, taking home $400K. Virtus.pro’s experience in the esports competitive scene has eliminated Echo Fox from season 2 Playoffs.

FAZE CLAN

The American CS:GO company is made up of five team members rain, aizy, allu, Karrigan and KioShiMa, their latest addition to their Faze Clan CS:GO squad. Their surprising win over Cloud 9 and Immortals have qualified them in the Quarterfinals.

The ELEAGUE Season 2 Playoffs will take place between the 30th November till 3rd December 2016.
