Andreas ‘MODDII’ Fridh

Andreas ‘MODDII’ Fridh is a 28-year-old Swedish professional player who trains in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. He takes on the responsibility of in-game leader and supports his teammates in the rifler position for Heroic. He is a dependable person with a strong CS background, giving space for his teammates to succeed.

Aside from practicing CSGO, Andreas likes to travelling with his girlfriend, in fact last summer, he went on vacation to Turkey. In his free time, he likes to relax playing Super Mario video games or play football with his teammates. MODDII’s selection of movies for the year 2017 include Annabelle 2, The Mummy, Baywatch, Pirates of the Caribbean, Guardians of the Galaxy, Fast and Furious 8, Logan and Kong Skull Island.

Where it all began:

Andreas developed an interest in video games, making it his pastime. In 2006, he heard about the first person shooter game, Counter-Strike 1.6 from his friends and tried it out. Over two years passed where he improved on his fighting skills and strategies that eventually led him to compete with his first esports team, Playzone, never looking back.

In 2012, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was released and like many professional gamers, Fridh made the smooth transition to play CSGO while with top team, Fnatic. He has played for other pro units, developing his playstyle and accurate aims with Epsilon Esports, Flipsid3 Tactics, Reason Gaming, SK Gaming and Team X.

Heroic is a Danish gaming company that was created by the former Team X players in August 2016. Since then there were a few roster changes on the CS team that saw Friis, valde and Fetish leave. Professional players JUGi and es3tag join to play alongside MODDII, Snappi and niko.

Competition Participation:

The most recent esports tournaments that MODDII and his team Heroic have participated in were the LOOT.BET Cup #2, DreamHack Open Winter 2017, ECS Season 4 – Europe, ESL Pro League Season 6 and many more.

The gaming experience that Andreas has acquired over the years has given him the skills to improve on his mistakes and learn new CSGO strategies. By competing with top teams such as Mousesports, Navi, Gambit, Hellraisers, North, Dignitas, NV, Fnatic, Misfits, Immortals, Rogue and G2 Esports among many.

Winnings:

The highest earnings won by MODDII and his Heroic team was at the International Gaming League 2016 – Grand Finals. The CS squad beat VG.CyberZen with an amazing score 3-1, taking the major title to win a stunning prize of $43K.

The second great accomplishment for Andreas was at Eleague CS: GO Premier 2017. Heroic MODDII and his unit reached the Quarterfinals but unfortunately they were defeated by North with the score 0-2. The CS squad finished in eighth place winning a reward of a remarkable $35K.

Another achievement for Fridh was when he competed for SK Gaming at CEVO Pro League Season 9. The squad reached the finals battling it out against Tempo Storm to whom they lost over a score of 1-3. Finishing the esports tournament in second place, the CSGO players claimed their prize of an amazing $30K.
