Tempo Storm is an American esports association that was founded in 2014 by Andrey ‘Reynad’ Tanyuk, a competitive player himself. The company supports several teams that play different games like Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, League of Legends, FIFA, Overwatch and World of Warcraft
Tempo Storm supports two teams of Overwatch, one based in Australia and the other in North America. Since Australian OW team was created in August 2016, their first minor tournament was the Ozfortress Heroes League Season 1 and followed by the weekly CyberGamer competitions.
The highest achievement as an Overwatch squad was at the minor eLeague GameStah Spring Series Division, where they beat Aftermind with a score of 3:0 winning a prize pool of $1,350. Their most recent tournament was the Oceanic Summer Series finishing in sixth place.
The Team
Philip ‘Redact’ Pretty is currently the manager the Tempo Storm OW squad. His gaming career has taken him to several esports events in Australia competing in the Super Smash Brothers. Redact has previously played and managed Team Exile5 in Team Fortress 2. His gaming knowledge and experience helps him to manage his OW unit and also take part in gaming events as a Substitute.
James ‘Yuki’ Stanton is an Australian player, experienced in first person shooter games like Quake, Counter-Strike and TF2. Yuki is mostly known for his Team Fortress 2 background while playing for Team Immunity where they placed fourth at LAN events i49 and i52, dominating Australians esports scene. Stanton is regarded as one of the best soldier players where he puts his abilities to good use as a DPS for Tempo Storm OW team.
Jake ‘termo’ Hickman is a dedicated pro that forms part of Tempo Storm Overwatch roster. Termo is famous for his top skills becoming an impressive top player in Team Fortress 2. In the past, Jake has competed for Snowblind for two years as well as for Team Immunity placing second at several events. Hickman’s abilities and wide hero pool, he takes on the flex position for his Overwatch squad.
Kyall ‘Mosh’ Margitich is a talented cyber athlete playing the tank position for the squad, Tempo Storm. He comes from a strong gaming background of World of Warcraft, becoming one of the best WoW guilds in history. Mosh also proved to be a strong FPS player in Natural Selection 2 before he made the switch to Overwatch. He is one of those players that can easily adapt to the situation at hand and prove his abilities in the esports scene.
Sam ‘Refz’ Rogers is a professional gamer who plays the supportive role for Tempo Storm Overwatch team. He started his gaming career playing CS 1.6, World of Warcraft and also League of Legends, improving his skills and abilities to be a top player. His experience in several games has helped him to bring out the best Lucio performances and also becoming one of the most flexible support players.
