Betting Predictions
Team Liquid vs. TNC Pro Team
Team Liquid will definitely be underrated for this tournament, simply because of their somewhat disappointing performance at DreamLeague Season 9. However, keep in mind that Team Liquid played that tournament with their coach as their 5th due to the fact that Miracle had personal issues and couldn’t attend the event. In their standard formation, Team Liquid is the strongest team in Group A. So this match against TNC shouldn’t be a problem for them.
OpTic Gaming vs. OG
OpTic Gaming is in great shape right now, while OG is on a downward spiral. Just recently, ppd’s team won a Bo3 series against Evil Geniuses and keep in mind that EG won GESC: Indonesia Dota 2 Minor just 2 weeks ago, by defeating VGJ. Thunder in the Grand Finals (score 2 – 0).
On the other side, OG had to release Resolut1on after a long series of disappointments and are playing with their captain 7ckngMad in the midlane.
Team Secret vs. Evil Geniuses
Team Secret is at the top of its game right now and the latest tournament title obtained at DreamLeague Season 9 clearly proves it. EG isn’t playing bad either, but the team is still very inconsistent and against such a strong opponent, they have little chance of success.
Virtus.pro vs. Evil Geniuses
Again, you should bet against EG here, as Virtus.pro are lightyears ahead of them at this point.
General betting principles for this tournament are to bet on VP, Team Secret and Team Liquid, and against OG and the weaker teams such as PaiN Gaming and TNC Pro Team. Also, be aware of Effect. They’re a strong team and playing with Resolut1on as a stand-in.
Betway puts the odds at 1.45 – 2.55 in Virtus.pro’s favour, as they are the clear favorites.
