Peter ‘Doublelift’ Peng

Peter ‘Doublelift’ Peng is a twenty-three year old American gamer that hails from Mission Vlejo, California. He is known for his strong mechanical plays with signature LOL heroes Vayne, Lucian, Jinx and Kalista, performing his best AD carry role for Team Solomid.

Peng’s nickname comes from his interest in magic tricks, from a basic card trick named the Double Lift. His all-time favourite esports player is the former Starcraft 2 programmer, IDrA.

Where it all began:

Goldeneye video game

Peter used to love playing the classic video games, Nintendo’s Star fox 64 and Goldeneye. When his brother got his very first computer, Doublelift would often play Diablo 1 and Starcraft. Once Yilliang got his own computer, he got to practice Dota, World of Warcraft and HON competing with his friends.

The Team:

Team Solomid is an esports company that was established to help support a community website, by the owner Andy ‘Reginald’ Dinh and his brother Dan Dinh. Today, TSM supports squads that specialise in LOL, Super Smash Bros and VainGlory.

Team Solomid League of Legends roster was created in January 2011, in fact their very first competiton was the Riot Season 1 Championship. Since then the roster changed a few times to the latest return of Doublelift from Team Liquid. TSM LOL roster also includes Hauntzer, Svenskeren, Bjergsen, Wild Turtle and Biofrost.

Competition Participation:

Peng has taken part in many LOL tournaments such as the All-Star Barcelona 2016, North American LCS Spring and Summer Playoffs, IEM X San Jose.

Before returned to TSM in the last week of April, Peter competed for Team Liquid in the 2017 North American LCS Spring tournament as well as the NA LCS Summer Promotion winning against Gold Coin United with the score of 3:2.

The largest win for TSM Doublelift has to be in 2016 NA LCS Summer Playoffs while competing for Team Solomid. They beat Cloud 9 to win first prize of a spectacular $50K. During this event, Peter and his team mates won the award of All-Pro Team for Team Solomid.
