Egor ‘flamie’ Vasilyev

Egor ‘flamie’ Vasilyev is a 20-year-old Russian professional CS:GO gamer who takes on the role of rifler for Natus Vincere. The power of the team lies in Egor’s precise skills of shooting which make him a player tough to beat. Thanks to his good performances in prestigious matches, Vasilyev was voted as the 12th best CS:GO player of 2016 by HLTV.org.

Where it all began:

Counter Strike game

Egor followed his passion in gaming back in 2009, playing Counter-Strike just for fun. Vasilyev liked competition and he was occasionally invited to participate in LAN tournaments, leading him to learn more in depth about CS develop his abilities even further. His first esports competition was the Copenhagen Games in 2013 where he competed for the unit Nostalgie.

The Team:

Natus Vincere is a Ukrainian esports association that supports different teams competing in CS:GO, Dota 2, FIFA, World of Tanks and League of Legends. Natus Vincere is a latin phrase meaning ‘born to win’ which reflects the aim of all NaVi players, winning matches.

NaVi CSGO team was created in 2009 and have since become famous for their in-game performances and their successful results. They are one of many leading teams that is a role model for many esports fans and gamers around the world.

Competition Participation:

Natus Vincere have participated in prestigious CS:GO tournaments such as the most recent DreamHack Tours 2017, StarLadder i-League, IEM XI World Championship and the Eleague Major 2017.

NaVi have won against some of the top teams like Virtus.Pro at the ESL One: New York 2016, SK Gaming at the Wild Bootcamp Showmatch, Astralis at the Counter Pit League Season 2 – Finals among many others.

Winnings:

One of the great achievements for flamie and his team was competing in the MLG Major Championship: Colombus. Natus Vincere reached the finals against Luminosity only to finish second place with the score 0:2 to claim their highest reward of $150K.

The second biggest win was at ESL One: New York 2016, when Natus Vincere beat Virtus.Pro to their game with a record 2:1. They ranked first in the tournament proudly claiming their winning prize of $125K.
