Chevry ‘RocKy’ Corentin

Chevry ‘RocKy’ Corentin is a 19-year-old cyber athlete that hails from Besançon, France. He trains in FIFA for Team Vitality, considered to be one of the best esports players in the world. Chevry was able to win 1 XBOX tournament defeating top players as well as defeating PS4 champion.

Corentin has a love for football, following his favourite team, Olympique de Marseille. He looks up to professional football players, Mario Balotelli and Cristiano Ronaldo to learn smart moves, watching how they play in tournaments.

Ronaldo and Balotelli

Many people think that Corentin’s alias was after the film, RocKy played by Sylvester Stallone however it is not the case. When he was deciding which nickname he would use, he looked at his hamster, RocKy and it stuck with him.

Where it all began:

Corentin began playing competitively with FIFA 15 when he and his friends signed up to participate for a tournament. He realized he could be a professional gamer, living off from his gaming passion. He put in many training hours into FIFA and also watched Football matches for more ideas on strategies that he can implement in game.

For his drive and winning mentality, Vitality RocKy admits “I absolutely need a coach. In competition, everything is psychological. The coach is behind us and breathes important words as we play. If we get a goal or if we see that we are worried, it will be there to put us back in the rail. Everything else is about the player.”

The Team:

Team Vitality is a French esports company that was launched in August 2013. Their mission is to be the best esports team in the world and create more exposure in the French gaming scene. Vitality holds an impressive record with units that compete in League of Legends, Call of Duty, FIFA, Rainbow Six, Halo, Clashe Royale, H1Z1 and Hearthstone.
