Wiktor 'TaZ' Wojtas is a Polish cyber athlete competing in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for Virtus.Pro. He takes on the responsibility of support rifler with the ability to be in game leader when the need arises for his team. With determination, patriotism and fans who support TaZ all help to achieve the goal to be the best player winning esports matches.  


To cope with the stress and pressure of upcoming tournaments, Wojtas takes his dog and his daughter out for walks in the country. Being a pro gamer, VP TaZ has to travel to different countries to compete which is part of the job but it is the hardest thing to leave his family.


Where it all began: 

Wiktor liked playing video games ever since he was young. His friends in school introduced him to Counter Strike and from then on he was motivated to be the best player in Poland. He was so committed to his goal that he would travel an hour by bus just to go to the Internet Café to play video games.

One day while Wojtas playing CS 1.6, the news was on about a Cyberathlete Professional League Tournament that was held in USA, where a Swedish team was playing against an American squad for money. This was exactly the motivation that stirred in Wiktor to pursue a gaming career, he feels so lucky in life to be doing what he loves to do although it took him fifteen years to be where he is today, a top CS: GO player.


The Team:  

Virtus.Pro is a Russian esports company mostly famous for their Counter-Strike team that have attracted gaming fans from all over the world. Due to the successes in tournaments, VP have expanded their team to compete in Dota 2, Hearthstone and Quake.

Virtus.Pro launched their CS 1.6 roster in 2006 that consisted of the famous players like Kane, Edward and Zeus. Due to the games development and change, the roster had to switch to compete in Counter Strike: Global Offensive. In 2014, Virtus.Pro acquired pro gamers like TaZ, NEO, Pashabiceps, Snax and Byali to continue to build their fanbase and explosive playstyle.        


Competition Participation: 

The latest esports competitions that TaZ and his team, Virtus.Pro have participated include were the Major tournaments, WESG 2017 Europe Finals, ECS Season 4 – Europe, StarLadder i-League Invitational #2. Add to these the latest Premier events like EPICENTER 2017, Eleague CS: GO Premier 2017, ESL One New York and ESG Tour Mykonos 2017.

Virtus.Pro had the privilege of competing against top teams like Renegades, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Team Liquid, Immortals, Heroic, Navi and Astralis so as to improve on their CS strategies and fighting skills. 



The highest accomplishment in Wiktor's gaming career was the Eleague Season 1. While playing for Virtus.Pro, they beat top team Fnatic with a score 2-0, proudly claiming their first prize of a stunning $400K.  

VP TaZ second great accomplishment was DreamHack Masters Las Vegas 2017. The CS squad won the grand finale against SK Gaming with a score 2-1, taking the title with a reward of a staggering $200K, showing the world who is master of CS: GO.   


Another remarkable tournament win for VP was at the WESG 2016 finals. The CS squad beat Space Soldiers with an unbeatable score 2-0, to finish in third place claiming a reward of $200K.
