Samsung Galaxy is a South Korean esports organisation that was established in September 2013, specialising in League of Legends and had a team in Starcraft II. The association is sponsored by Samsung Electronics supporting teams under Samsung Sports like football, Volleyball, Athletics, Basketball and Tennis.
Samsung Galaxy are very unpredictable and lucky at the same time to earn spots in some of the prestigious events. Going up against world famous teams who have a high level of competition, can sometimes deem difficult for Samsung Galaxy to go through the Playoffs. Sansung Galaxy are not as famous as other LOL teams but they have a way of showing their potential. As a Lol team, Samsung have competed at the most recent esports tournament, IEM XI Gyeonggi where they beat their opponents, Kongdoo Monster taking first prize of a $50K. Another wonderful achievement was at the World Championships 2016 competing against SK Telecom T1, finishing second place claiming their triumphant prize of $1 million.
Sungjin ‘CuVee’ Lee is the top laner for Samsung Galaxy LOL team. He joined the dota team in 2014 in time to compete at LCK Spring 2015 although they did not qualify in the playoffs they secured a spot in the LOL Summer Split. Competing at big competitions, Cuvee needs to be at the top of his game as he is usually against some of the famous top laners like Smeb or Ssumday.
Chanyong ‘Ambition’ Kang is a professional jungler for Samsung Galaxy. At the age of 9 his interest in gaming grew, in fact his strict parents would allow him a maximum of two hours a day to play Starcraft. As limited as time was Kang would always make the most of it and try to improve whenever he can. In 2011, Ambition stopped playing Starcraft to play League of Legends and has become one of the most promising mid laners in Korea.
Minho ‘Crown’ Lee is a pro mid laner for Samsung Galaxy. He was previously known as Shadow or flash who used to play for Brazilian squads 58ers and KaBuM! Black. Crown’s dedication to be a better gamer gives him the chance to play with a wider hero pool. He is particularly known for his best gameplays on heroes Varus and Riven, in his rise to fame to be the best.
Jaehyeok ‘Ruler’ Park is a dedicated cyber athlete that joined Samsung Galaxy, playing the AD carry for the unit. He has a willingness to be consistent, taking risks with the flexibility to create strategical moves. Becoming the best player means that he continues learning different playstyles and choosing the suitable LOL champions.
Kwon ‘Wraith’ Ji-min is a professional LOL gamer, who plays the supportive role for Samsung Galaxy. He was previously known as Loray in 2012, while playing for a Korean squad, PSW Ares. Wraith is not scared to take a risk in fact he was the first to pick Thresh in a Korea LOL event.
