Ruslan ‘Gumbeq’ Pozdniakov

Ruslan ‘Gumbeq’ Pozdniakov is a 23-year-old pro gamer from Russia. He competes in League of Legends, taking on the role of the jungler for his current team, Natus Vincere, performing his best with his favourite LOL heroes Elise and KhaZix.

Where it all began:

Ruslan began his gaming career training in League of Legends, joining esports team, Titans Esports in 2013. Developing his skills and game strategies to improvise when needed that will help his unit win the match.

The Team:

Natus Vincere is an esports organisation that has been established in 2009 with the help of Murat ‘Arbalet’ Zhumashevich who gave contributions towards the company. The association has grown to support more teams that specialise in Dota, FIFA, LOL and World of Tanks.

NaVi LOL unit strive with a ‘Born to win’ mentality that helps motivate them to perform better in the esports events. The LOL lineup was originally made up of former Dolphin players who signed on in December 2015. The current roster includes ZvenE, Skash, Gumbeq, niQ and aMiracle.

Competition Participation:

The latest esports competition attended by Ruslan with his current LOL team, Natus Vincere was the 2017 LCL Spring. The team ranked in seventh place but it was still a win for the team and for Ruslan taking home the prize of $2,639.18.

LCL summer split

Gumbeq has also participated in the SLTV StarSeries Season IX while competing for Good Team Multigaming to finish in fourth place. He most recent esports events that Gumbeq took part in was the LCL Summer Promotion which was held in March 2017, qualifying them for the future event, the Summer Split.

Winnings:

Pozdniakov has taken part in his first competitive esports game while with Titans Esports at the Techlabs Cups KZ in 2013. The squad took the title with pride, claiming their reward of $3,500.
