Park ’Thal’ Kwon-hyuk

Park ‘Thal’ Kwon-hyuk is a South Korean top esports player practicing professionally League of Legends. He takes on the position of top laner for professional team, SK Telecom T1, playing his best performances with LOL characters Jayce, Gangplank and Gragas. He has taken over the Chinese gaming region with his impeccable performance and has shown he is a force to be reckoned with proving he aims to be a top gamer.

Aside from gaming, Park loves to play board games and solve the 500 piece puzzles, killing time. On top of this, being a pro player, he gets to travel to many different countries, competing in prestigious esports events. His time to relax is when he is with his teammates, dining or perhaps walking around the streets, shops, and sightseeing.

Where it all began:

Park began playing League of Legends professionally back in June 2016 with his very first esports team, Apex Pride. Pursuing his dream of becoming a pro gamer, he moved on to play for ZTR Gaming. He finally showed the esports world that he is a promising top laner making his presence at the European Challenger Series. Thal started the new year competing for SK Telecom with whom he cannot wait to show the esports scene, his capabilities at International events.

The Team:

SK Sports is a Korean telecommunications organization that was established in 2002. The association supports sports teams that compete in Basketball, Baseball, Football, Handball, and a professional esports team playing League of Legends.

SK Sports ventured into esports with a Starcraft team and this concept became even more popular, they created another squad, SK Telecom T1 competing in League of Legends. Ever since the creation, the LOL team has become one of the best esports teams in the world that won the World Championships in 2013, 2015 and 2016. The current SKT lineup consists of pro players, Bang, Blank, Blossom, Faker, Untara, and Thal which is an opportunity to keep up the SKT reputation.

Competition Participation and Winnings:

The only gaming experience that Thal has so far on record was when he participated in the European Challenger Series Summer 2017 Playoffs while playing for Red Bulls. The LOL team finished in third place to claim a prize of a surprising $7K.

Although still new in the scene, SKT Thal will acquire the skills to handle a wide hero pool, improving and adapting his gameplays, competing with top League of Legends teams.
