Neta ‘33’ Shapira

Neta ‘33’ Shapira is a 20-year-old cyber athlete that hails from Israel. He trains in Dota 2 professionally taking on the role of a support, helping his teammates out of awkward situations with his best dota 2 heroes, Batrider, Dark Seer and Clockwerk. He has the knowledge and abilities to handle other positions like the offlaner and carry whenever the need arises for his current team, Optic.

Gaming aside, Shapira likes to hang out with his friends, dining, drinking and perhaps watch a movie afterwards. Another great thing about being a professional gamer is that he gets to travel to different countries with his team so as to compete on the world stage and show the esports scene his capabilities in-game.

Where it all began:

Neta began his competitive gaming career playing Dota 2 for No Logic Gaming, back in 2016. He acquired his gaming skills and learnt new strategies playing for other esports units like Kaipi, Prodota Gaming, Planet Dog and Hellraisers, improving on his mistakes and strengthening his hero pool.

The Team:

Optic Gaming is an American esports company that was established in 2006. The association is famous for their squads that compete in Call of Duty and Gears of War. Optic also supports units that play Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Halo, Dota 2, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and League of Legends.

Optic Gaming’s dota 2 team was created in September 2017, originally signing on The Dire squad. Since then, Misery left to join Evil Geniuses while Saksa stepped in to play temporarily for the rest of 2017. Their latest addition to the dota unit was 33, playing alongside ppd as the captain, Pajkatt, CC&C and Zai, together to achieve more success in esports tournaments.

Competition Participation:

Neta has been competing for Optic since December 2017 and in that time, he has participated in the qualifying matches of ESL One Katowice 2018, StarLadder i-League Invitational #4, The Bucharest Major and GESC Indonesia Dota 2 Minor.

The Bucharest Major

While competing for Planet Dog and Hellraisers, 33 competed at the qualifiers of ESL One Genting 2018, Galaxy Battles, Dota Summit 8, MDL Macau, ROG Masters 2017, The Perfect World Masters Europe, among many esports tournaments.

In his gaming career so far, Shapira has competed against top dota teams like Animal Planet, Empire, VGJ.Storm, Kinguin, Penta Sports, Mousesports, OG, Secret and so many more esports units.

Winnings:

The highest winnings in Neta’s gaming career so far was at The International 2017, while playing for Hellraisers. The squad was eliminated in the group stages to finish in 18th place, taking home an amazing prize of $61K.

The second great achievement for Shapira was at the minor esports tournament, World Cyber Arena 2017 Europe Finals. He was competing for Hellraisers at the time, where they beat Team Empire with a score 3-2, claiming a reward of $30K.

Shapira’s third accomplishment was his participation in the premier, World Cyber Arena 2016, representing Prodota Gaming. In the Semifinals, the dota squad lost to We Are Young 0-2 to finish in fourth place to proudly claim their prize of $28K.
