Ming ‘Clearlove’ Kai

Ming ‘Clearlove’ Kai is a Chinese professional cyber athlete that plays League of Legends for Edward Gaming. He currently plays the jungler role with his signature heroes, Rammus, Malphite, Evelynn, Nunu and Lee Sin.

Whenever Clearlove would not talk in his stream, he would play romantic songs or a happy song like ‘Ode to Joy’. Due to this, the esports community gave him the nickname ‘Love Song Prince’ and ‘Esports Beethoven’.

Where it all began:

Clearlove played League of Legends since 2011, famous for his survival skills by saving and supporting his team mates, leading towards winning the esports match. He is also known for two personas, dark and light that reflect in his inconsistent aggressive game plays in the jungler position.

Ming joined Team Phoenix in June 2012 as their mid Laner for three months. He acquired more gaming experience with the World Elite squad in August 2012 becoming their jungler, making a name for himself before moving on to compete for Edward Gaming in 2014.

EDward Gaming LOL team is a professional Chinese esports team that was created in September 2013 and founded by Ed Zhu and Freezer. Since then they have taken the top spots in the LPL Summer Splits in 2014 and 2016. The current League of Legends roster includes Clearlove, Mouse, Scout, Zet and Meiko. Through their successes over the years, EDG hope to make their mark in the World Championship event this year.

Demacia cup 2016

Their most recent LoL tournament Edward Gaming have participated was the Demacia Cup 2016, where EDG defeated IMAY with the record of 3:0 winning a cash prize of $72K.

Winnings:

The highest prize earned by Clearlove and Edward Gaming was at the LPL Summer Playoffs 2016 that were held in August. They beat Royal Never Give Up with the score of 3:0 that won them a stunning prize of $217K.
