Matt ‘Coolmatt69’ Iorio

Matthew ‘Coolmatt69’ Iorio is a 27-year-old American cyber athlete that currently plays for Fnatic. He made a name for himself as one of the top players in the North American esports scene.

Matthew is a flexible player who can take over any role given to him within his team. He has a wide hero pool that gives him the versatility. His abilities range from hitscan plays to his current flex performances with his favourite champion Zarya and Roadhog.

Where it all began:

Firefall video game

Matthew started playing Firefall and Brink for Team Hubris back in 2011. A squad that was founded by DuPree and Iorio that won them six events in one month becoming the experienced gamer he is today.

Fnatic is a European gaming company based in England that was founded by Sam and Anne Mathews in 2004. As the years passed the association has strived to be the best top team in esports supporting video games like LOL, Dota 2, Heroes of the Storm and CS:GO.

Coolmatt69 and his teams have competed at several esports events such as the GosuGamers Overwatch weekly tournaments, iBuypower Invitational 2016 and Dreamhack Winter 2016 among many other events.

Winnings:

His greatest prize win so far was the Overwatch Open winning a reward of $24K. Fnatic OW lost to EnVyUs with the score 1:3, finishing in third place at the premier match.

Fnatic’s second high prize win was at the ESL 2016 Overwatch Atlantic Showdown – Gamescom. The squad played against Reunited ranking in fourth to scoop a $12K prize.
