Hampus ‘hampus’ Poser is a 19-year-old pro player that hails from Sweden. He trains in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, taking on the role of in-game leader while also playing the rifler position for his team Godsent.
Aside from playing CSGO for life, he has also played other computer games like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Battlerite, that has helped him practice his shooting skills. Being a pro cyber-athlete, he gets to travel around the world to represent his team at prestigious tournaments and will seize the moment to do some sightseeing or celebrate with his friends, drinking beer.
Where it all began:
Hampus began his esports career training in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive back in August 2015 playing for his first esports team, Trepunktnoll. He improved his fighting skills and tactics competing for top esports teams such as TzatzikiiKlubben, passions, Epsilon Hype, Red Reserve and is now currently a part of the Godsent CSGO roster.
The Team:
Godsent is a Swedish gaming company that was founded by former Fnatic player, Markus ‘pronax’ Wallsten and the entrepreneur, Tomas Oropesa Martin. The only team that Godsent support is their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster.
Godsent created their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive back in April 2016. The current CSGO lineup consists of Hampus as the shot caller, twist, disco doplan, freddieb, and Brollan, who together will take their gaming levels to new heights.
Competition Participation:
While Hampus was with Godsent, he has participated in the qualifiers of ECS Season 5, Farmskins Championship #2 and StarSeries i-League Season 4 and LOOT.BET Cup #2. Poser has also taken part in the Minor event, Nations Elite Esports Cup and in major leagues like WESG 2017 Europe Finals and Play2Live Cryptomasters.
Improving on his mistakes, Hampus has had the pleasure of competing against top CSGO teams like NaVi, Space Soldiers, BIG, AVANGAR, Heroic, Valiance, AGO Gaming, Havu Gaming, Team Ukraine, Singularity and Team Kinguin.
Winnings:
The greatest accomplishment in Poser’s esports career so far was coming in second place at the WESG 2017 Europe Finals. Through the Group Stages Hampus and his team, Godsent beat top CSGO squads like Team Endpoint, NOREG, Team Ukraine and North Academy. Advancing to the Quarterfinals Godsent defeated the team Belgium to proceed to the Semifinals where the top CSGO unit won over Space Soldiers. Finishing in the Finals, Godsent lost their winning streak which led to their defeat to Team Ukraine, placing second, claiming their prize of $20K.
Another great achievement for Hampus was at the Dreamhack Valencia 2017 while competing for Red Reserve. Going through the Group Stage B, the CSGO team have lost to Ninjas in Pyjamas and to recuperate from the loss, they won over NRG and Counter Logic Gaming. Proceeding to the Semifinals, Red Reserve defeated Heroic, however in the finals, the CSGO unit struggled against NIP’s advances, to place second, taking home another $20K.
The third highest win was while competing for Godsent at the Play2Live Cryptomasters. The CSGO team played their best winning over Sprout with an amazing score of 2-1 in the Quarterfinals. Proceeding to the Semis, Godsent were eliminated by Space Soldiers, finishing in third place, claiming their well-deserved reward of $10K.
