Gustav ‘s4’ Magnusson

Gustav ‘s4’ Magnusson is a Swedish pro gamer who plays for Team OG. He takes on the role of a mid laner, famous for his skills on Dota 2 characters, Magnus and Puck.

The Dota community have given him the nickname ‘Son of Magnus’ for his superb gameplays of Magnus and also because Magnusson has the words Magnus and son. A dream of so many esports players is to win one TI tournament but s4’s goal in his esports career is to win two TI events.

Where it all began:

At the early age of five years old, he would watch his brothers play video games for hours. At first, Gustav tried Heroes of Newerth just for the fun of it and his passion for gaming grew from then on.

S4 liked gaming so much that many a time he would focus more than his brothers while playing a game. He made a promise that he wanted to be the best in the world by playing more than anyone else. So he kept up his commitment and started competing in Heroes of Newerth until 2011 before transitioning to Dota 2.

The Team:

Team OG is a European company that was founded in October 2015. The former Monkey Business players practiced and trained in Dota 2 making their breakthrough at the Frankfurt Major event.

Team OG’s dota roster includes Fly, Notail, s4, JerAx and Resolut1on. The outstanding results at events have given other esports teams the inspiration and motivation to be better in their gameplays and strategies.

Competition Participation:

While S4 was with Alliance, they participated in esports tournaments such as World Cyber Arena 2015, where they won over LGD Gaming, at Starladder i-League StarSeries Season 1 the squad beat Evil Genuises and many more events. s4 had the success to win over renowned squads like NaVi, Cloud 9, Virtus.Pro and Fnatic at several esports tournaments.

The latest premier event Team OG participated in was The Summit 6 in November 2016, where they lost to Virtus.Pro in the finals finishing second place.

Winnings:

S4’s most recent win was at The Boston Major reaching the finals against AD Finem, Team OG won a whopping $1 million prize.

Magnusson’s greatest accomplishment was winning TI3 where Alliance faced off Na’Vi with the end result of 3:2, taking home a grand prize of a breath-taking $ 1.4 million.
