George ‘Hyped’ Maganzini

George ‘Hyped’ Maganzini is 26-year-old cyber athlete who is currently playing the flex role in Overwatch for Immortals unit. Being a top experienced player in Hearthstone and OW, Maganzini is quite the mentor for his teammates. Hyped is famous for his best performances on his favourite champion Zarya, to help lead his Immortal team to victory.

Maganzini’s favourite podcast at the moment is Hidden Brain that features a range of interesting topics that help understand the world. No wonder George is quite the charming gamer and charismatic conversationalist.

Where it all began:

Card Game Hearthstone

George was always a fan of Blizzard, starting out his esports career with video games like World of Warcraft, Hearthstone and Starcraft. In 2016, Maganzini took on the newly released game, Overwatch, joining the unit Sodipop and then on to Immortals where he is making a name for himself in the esports scene.

The Team:

Immortals is an American esports company, famous for its League of legends team. The club started out in October 2015 and have formed new teams in CS:GO, Overwatch, Smash and VainGlory.

Immortals have signed on the former Sodipop OW team in September 2016, in time for their first match, the Overwatch Open. The current IMT roster includes Verbo, Aythen, GrimReality, Agilities, nomy and Hyped.

Competition Participation:

Hyped and his IMT team have recently participated in the Overwatch Rumble, OW Carbon Series, Alienware Monthly Melee: February, BaseTrade TV Cup and the OW Open.

The IMT OW squad have had competition against some the world’s leading esports teams such as Luminosity, Selfless Gaming, Cloud 9, Hammers Esports and Complexity.

Winnings:

The greatest achievement so far for Hyped and Immortals OW was winning the Overwatch Winter Premiere. The squad won the title from Ghost Gaming with a score of 3:1, proudly claiming a reward of $40K.
