Clinton ‘Fear’ Loomis is an American Dota 2 gamer also known as “Old Man Fear” from Medford, Oregon. He has been playing Dota since 2006 that made Fear known to be one of the best North American cyber athletes.
Where it all began:
Fear started out his gaming career in Dota 2 with the squad Online Kingdom, where they competed at TI 2011 that placed them seventh, which led to the squad disbandment. Later in the year, Clinton was chosen to form part of the Evil Genuises roster.
The Team:
Clinton’s gaming experience with Evil Genuises allowed him to play all positions, competing at high levels. Fear played the hard carry position when he first started with EG. Loomis had a wide hero pool, in fact he played his best with Dota 2 characters such as Morphling, Syllabear and Clinkz with the skills and smart moves to lead his team early in the game.
Clinton has also shown his ability to use a dota 2 characters like Juggernaut as mid laner or play the support champion Dazzle as a farmer. While being EG Captain, Fear took the supportive role using outstanding decisions and relying on his instincts for map control.
Competitions & Winnings:
In 2014, EG signed up with a team SADBOYS that consisted of Fear, Arteezy, Zai, UNiVeRsE and ppd. This new squad soon became one of the best North American Dota 2 units. In fact, Fear and his squad Evil Genuises win the Premier match against Vici Gaming in Dota 2 Asia Championships 2015 taking home $1.2 million prize. The biggest accomplishment for him was in August 2015, at TI5 when EG took the Dota 2 Championship title beating CDEC for a $6.6 million reward.
After placing third at The International 2016, Fear retired as a gamer due to health reasons. Clinton’s future form here on will be Evil Genuises coach, closely observing and motivating the squad to be the best in dota 2 to achieve more success.
