Biography

Denis Howell is a 22-year-old esports player practicing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as the entry-fragger for Mousesports. He is generally the aggressive player, being the first to enter the bombsite, strengthening his team for the attack.

 

Where it all began:

Denis always loved playing video games especially Counter-Strike Source, practicing and competing with his friends. He and his sister went to an esports event, taking in the competitive atmosphere watching pro teams playing in the tournaments. It was a memorable event that Denis would never forget, motivating him to be a professional player.

He pursued his dream with a group of friends, making it to the ESL Pro Series back in 2012 with his smart CS: GO strategies in play for EYES ON U. Howell’s successful debut in esports all started when he joined Penta Sports in 2014 and currently with Mousesports since 2015, denis continues to improve his skills and surprise his fans.

 

The Team:

Mousesports or also known as Mouz is an esports organization based in Berlin, Germany. They are widely known for the success their CS: GO team have accomplished so far. The company is one of the greatest associations in Europe that support teams playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, Street Fighter V and Vainglory.

Mousesports CS: GO roster was re-created in 2012, with a good mixture of team players that can adapt to any situation and take on different roles, which shows the flexibility and skill of the CS players. The current roster of pro gamers includes ChrisJ as in-game leader, denis, oskar, loWel and the latest Mouz player, ropz.   

 

Competition Participation:

The most recent esports competitions that Mousesports have attended include PGL Major Krakow, DreamHack Masters Malmo qualifiers, ESL One Cologne, DreamHack Summer, DH Tours and many more.

PGL Major Krakow 2017

Mousesports have competed against some top teams like Cloud 9, Flipsid3 Tactics, Penta Sports, SK Gaming, G2 Esports, Hellraisers, Team Liquid, Immortals, NV and Faze Clan among many. Competing against professional teams have helped Mouz step up their game to become an even stronger unit.

 

Winnings:

When Denis joined Penta Sports back in 2014, his first success was at the DreamHack Winter 2014, placing in sixth place to take home the prize of $10K. Another great event was ESL One Katowice 2015, Denis and his team, Penta managed to reach the Quarterfinals, outranking units like Natus Vincere, Team Solomid, CLG, Cloud 9 and Hellraisers.

The greatest win yet while with Mousesports was at Eleague Season 1. Denis and his CS squad finished in third place, losing to another top unit, Virtus.Pro, with the score 0:2, taking home their highest earnings of $70K.

Mousesports’ second great win was at Eleague Season 2. The unit lost to Optic Gaming with the record 0:2, finishing in seventh place to claim their gaming reward of a surprising $50K.
