The Copenhagen Games, the biggest gaming event in Denmark is approaching. This kind of event has hosted games like Starcraft II, Heroes of Newerth, Counter-Strike 1.6. As from 2012, the CS:GO game has been organised every year and this year its sixth year running will be sponsored by City of Copenhagen.


The Major tournament will be held in centre of Copenhagen at the former market hall, Øksnehallen between the 13th till 15th April 2017. Every year since 2012, the best CS:GO teams were invited to participate in the biggest Danish tournament organising male and female matches.


In last year’s female CS:GO tournaments 2016, Team Secret won first place scooping an amazing reward of $4K. Counter Logic Gaming ranked a close second place claiming their $2K prize. The Copenhagen Games also organised female tournaments that began in 2013. A Major event that has featured some of the best Counterstrike female teams like Virtus.Pro, Team LDLC.com, Epilson Esports and many more. Which professional teams have what it takes to be in the playoffs of the Copenhagen Games 2017?


The Counter-Strike Tournament format will invite eighteen female teams that will be divided into five groups, A, B, C, D and E. The top two squads in each of the five group matches compete for a spot in the Quarterfinals. Eight teams remain in the playoffs but four will be eliminated. The best four go head to head in the Semis where two will be out of the game. The remaining two finalists will fight for the Champion title of the Female Copenhagen Games 2017.
