Catherine ‘Cath’ Leroux is a Canadian esports player from Montreal, practicing and competing in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for top Team Dignitas. Training for six hours a day, Cath has risen to be a top CS player to help DIG win esports matches.
Before becoming a top esports player, Catherine studied Finance and Business Administration in University. Giving her a break from her studies, she would play video games like Smite, Diablo and Counter-Strike 1.6. If she was not playing video games, you would find her playing her beloved sport, Soccer or Basketball to practice shooting hoops.
In Cath’s free time, away from playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, she likes to go out with her team mates doing some sightseeing together or celebrating their successes, while competing internationally. Back home she loves to spend time with her pug named Arthur, taking him for his daily walk to the dog park.
Where it all began:
Catherine was introduced to gaming by her older sister who used to play video games for hours. One occasion, Cath saw her sibling play Counter-Strike 1.6 and was encouraged to give it a shot. From that moment on Leroux never stopped playing CS with the aim that one day she could live off her hobby.
Years later, Leroux made the switch to CS: GO to fulfill her dream of becoming a professional gamer. In July 2014, she joined Ubinited to compete in her very first CS tournament ESWC 2014 Female competition. A few months later she moved on to play for top esports team, Counter Logic Gaming and then on to Selfless Gaming.
