BLAST Slam IV Set to Host Its First Dota 2 Arena Event in Singapore

Just days after the conclusion of BLAST Slam III, tournament organizer BLAST has wasted no time in delivering another major announcement for the Dota 2 scene. On Friday, May 9, BLAST revealed that BLAST Slam IV will be held in Singapore, marking the series’ first-ever arena event and a major step forward in the tournament’s evolution.

The announcement came via BLAST’s official Twitter and a detailed blog post, confirming that the upcoming tournament will shift from studio-based production to a full-scale live arena format.

A New Era for BLAST Slam Live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium

Having already hosted three well-received studio LAN events since entering the Dota 2 competitive space, BLAST is now setting its sights on something much bigger. BLAST Slam IV: Singapore will be held from November 7–9, 2025, inside the iconic Singapore Indoor Stadium, a venue renowned in the Dota 2 world for hosting The International 2022 (TI11) playoffs and finals.

This marks a dramatic change from previous iterations, which were primarily closed-door studio events with no live audience. In contrast, BLAST Slam IV will run as a full-scale, arena-based competition, more in line with traditional Dota 2 Majors, and will feature three full days of action in front of a live audience. It’s also set to be the first major Dota 2 tournament held in Singapore since TI11, making it a milestone event for fans in Southeast Asia.

$1,000,000 Prize Pool on the Line

Alongside the format overhaul, BLAST confirmed that teams attending the event will compete for a $1,000,000 prize pool, reaffirming the organizer’s commitment to making this one of the premier Dota 2 events of the year. While the list of participating teams hasn’t been announced yet, the stakes and stage are already set for a high-stakes showdown.

How to Get Tickets for BLAST Slam IV

Tickets are not yet available, but fans can gain early access by registering at BLAST.tv. Those who register will receive an exclusive pre-sale window before tickets go on general sale. BLAST also teased ticket and hotel packages, offering a more convenient (and potentially cost-saving) way for international fans to attend the event in Singapore, an important detail given the city’s high travel and accommodation costs.

More detailed ticket information, including prices and seating categories, is expected to be released in the coming weeks.

BLAST Cementing Its Place in the Dota 2 Ecosystem

Since entering the Dota 2 space, BLAST has quickly established itself as a serious competitor to tournament giants like ESL FACEIT Group and PGL. Their professional production, fresh approach to event design, and commitment to delivering top-tier content have resonated strongly with the community.

With BLAST Slam IV: Singapore, the company is now proving that it’s ready to play a major role in the future of competitive Dota 2. As fans eagerly await ticket drops and team announcements, one thing is clear, BLAST is raising the bar for what a modern Dota 2 tournament can be.
