Asger ‘AcilioN’ Larsen is a Danish talented esports player who is currently a part of Team Dignitas CS: GO lineup. He takes on the role of Entry Fragger having the ability to lead in-game whenever possible since he knows exactly how much pressure it can cause to be the team leader.
Outside of the gaming world, Asger loves rock climbing, go karting as well as drinking with his teammates. While he spent a six months in America with top team Splyce, Larsen also learnt how to cook his own meals. He has also made a decision to remain competing for European teams so that he could be closer to Denmark, his home country to fly over back home for vacation and spend time with his family.
Where it all began:
Asger first played Counter-Strike Source ever since he was young, familiarizing himself with the game and CS strategies as well as the different weapons. Playing video games was a hobby that Larsen took up competing with his friends and siblings just for the fun of it.
He switched to compete in CS: GO to begin his gaming profession in 2013 with esports team, NO SIR! Developing his gaming skills to be a better player he joined teams like Reason Gaming, Copenhagen Wolves, SK Gaming, Team X, Splyce and Tricked Esports.
Team Dignitas is a European esports company that is based in United Kingdom. The gaming company was established in 2004 with two squads competing in Battlefield 1942. As years passed electronic gaming grew, the club saw the need to expand, in fact nowadays they have teams that specialize in Heroes of the Storm, League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Smite.
Team Dignitas created their first Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team in August 2012, consisting of former CS Source players, becoming the best Danish CS: GO unit. The squad was known for having the Danish gamers that now play for Astralis. The male CS: GO team have three pro players that have played together in G2 Esports and Faze Clan. The current roster of professional players consists of fox, Rubino, jkaem, AcilioN and loWel taking their Counter Strike gaming skills to the next level.
Competition Participation and Winnings:
The esports tournaments that Acilion participated in include the Major, World Cyber Arena 2017 – Europe Main Stage, qualifying matches of Dreamhack Denver 2017, IEM Oakland, DreamHack Tours and the Copenhagen Games 2017. Through Asger’s gaming career so far, he has competed against the likes of Hellraisers, Heroic, Team LDLC.com and Space Soldiers.
The biggest achievement for Acilion was while playing for SK Gaming at the Premier tournament CEVO Gfinity Pro League Season 9 Finals. The CS: GO team reached the finals only to lose to Tempo Storm with a record 1-3, ranking in second place to win a prize of $30K.
The second great accomplishment for Larsen was at the 99Damage Masters 4 competing for SK Gaming. The CS team defeated Team Dignitas with a score 2-1, taking the championship title to win a reward of $15K.
