Tim ‘Manneten’ Bylund

Tim ‘Manneten’ Bylund is a Swedish gamer currently playing for the esports team Misfits as part of their Overwatch roster. He has the flexibility to play several roles where needed showing off his best performances with signature heroes like Zarya, Roadhog and Widowmaker.

Bylund started his gaming profession with the esports team, 2sTroNk which was not so famous at the time. In August 2016, his move to Luminosity Gaming gave him the esports exposure he needed, making his debut in the Overwatch scene.

Where it all began:

Tim enjoyed playing games he was young, competing with his friends in board games, card games and computer games. After Overwatch was released in 2015, Bylund improved on his gaming skills at the start of the Beta phase 2.

He started training on Overwatch hero, Widowmaker since the meta favoured the champion at the time and better yet she was the easiest to carry for his team. His current practice sessions with his team involve over six hours of scrimming and the occasional streaming too.

The Team:

Misfits was established in May 2016 founded by Ben Spoont, together with Laurie Silvers and Mitch Rubenstein, founders of Syfy Channel. Due to the success of the American esports company, they were looking to expand supporting esports teams that currently compete in LOL, CS: GO, OW, Super Smash Bros and Hearthstone.

Competition Participation:

The competitions that Manneten has participated in include the Overwatch Contenders Season Zero: Europe, the major OW TaKeOver 2, Overwatch PIT Championship Europe and the OW APEX Season 2.

The second greatest win was when Manneten was playing for Misfits at the IEM Season XI Gyeonggi. The squad ranked in 5th to 6th place where they lost to Lunatic-Hai with the record 0:3 but still won a prize of $5K at the premier match.
