Stefano ‘Verbo’ Disalvo

Stefano ‘Verbo’ Disalvo is a Canadian pro player competing for Immortals OW roster, taking on the role of Support and calling the shots. Being one of the youngest gamers of the team, Verbo’s vision and in-gaming skills have brought to where he is today, known for playing his best on Lucio.

Where it all began:

Disalvo had a dream to be a professional gamer all his life. He began practicing in League of Legends competing among his friends and moved on to try the new esports game, Overwatch.

His parents were not so pleased for his choice of career in gaming and on several occasions they would cut off the internet service and hide the modem. Hoping that one day Stefano would quit playing he proved everyone wrong and was determined to follow his gaming passion. Verbo would draw up strategies and game plans on paper and use wifi at local diners to study game replays.

The Team:

Immortals is an American esports association that has become successful for their competitive LOL team. The organisation was founded in 2015 and at present supports Overwatch, Smash, VainGlory, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

IMT OW has been created in September 2016, signing on the former Sodipop players. Verbo’s previous esport coach, Jer Kit recommended that he join Immortals and did a try outs with the unit and since then has been a part of the OW roster.

Competition Participation:

In the course of his professional career Verbo has taken part in esports tournaments such as the Overwatch Rumble, Alienware Monthly Melee: April, OW Carbon Series among many matches. Verbo and IMT have faced off top esports teams such as Cloud 9 and Luminosity Gaming Evil.

OW Carbon Series

Starting his own team in April 2016, Bold Purpose Gaming, Verbo has also participated in the matches, Academy  Gaming Overwatch weekly #2, #3 and #6.

Winnings:

The great achievement for Verbo and his Immortals team was winning the Overwatch Winter Premiere. IMT OW squad won against Ghost Gaming, taking the highest earning prize of $40K.
